i have been going to this place for a long time, under dr. robert ocampo. he left in oct 2022. i miss him because he was the nicest person. i went to this place 9/8. went to Dr. Hampton. this was a mistake. she is very impersonal. her approach was minimal. she acted as if she had better things to do, then deal with me. used needle and flexed my toes (type 2). that was the extent of the exam. got up and walked out as if i was wasting her time. when asked about next appointment, person came in and said, "we don't make appointments that's up to your doctor. then what the hell i am doing here. got home and complained to sportsmed. was told a new story that diabetic exams are once a year. at the end her staff member removed me from sportmed and told me to find some else. bottom line, sportsmed is a puppy mill for people. you complain and these screwballs punish your free speech by eliminating you rather then saying sorry for the misunderstanding. STAY AWAY FROM SPORTSMED, AS THEY ARE NOT PUBLIC ORIENTATED. Dr. Hampton failed to address my feelings and ignored me.

The Madison, AL location for Sportsmed is on Hughes Road. The building is located on a large piece of land. Maybe there will be expansion in the future? It was so nice to drive there and see lots of empty parking spaces. Yay! The Huntsville location is always full of cars with no way to expand that I can see. I go to the Huntsville location and I am being treated by Dr. Edward Ference for sciatic nerve issues. Dr. Ference is awesome!!! If a patient needs an injection, Dr. Ference does the injection in the back at the Madison location. The stress of finding a parking spot isn't an issue in Madison. The building is clean and appointments for injections are quick and smooth. I was pleasantly surprised how well my appointment went for my injections. This building has a large exercise physical therapy room with lots of different machines and trained personnel helping clients. If you live in or close to Madison, the Sportsmed location there is very nicely run with plenty of parking.
