I wouldn't change a thing about the quality of the staff here!

Been a week since I contacted the office for medication/sick visit for my child. Never got called back nor did I get a message on myChart. Called them and immediately got put on hold as I always do. Hung up after 15 minutes.

I don’t normally leave reviews and I debated a lot about this one but we did not have a good experience with Dr. Gardner. My son was diagnosed with obesity at 8 WEEKS old, despite looking like a normal baby. I asked them to re-weigh and measure him because that didn’t seem right to me, they refused. Dr. Gardner suggested giving him water (again, he was 8 WEEKS of age) if he was hungry more than every 3 hours. She also said to let him cry it out if he’s hungry because “crying never killed anyone but obesity has.” I was appalled, and the advice to give my 8 week old water is dangerous. I got another appointment with a different practice the next week and lo and behold, Infirmary Pediatrics had measured him incorrectly (or he grew 1.75” in a week, unlikely). He is perfectly fine for both weight and height and is not obese. If I had given him water, he could have become dangerously overhydrated. The AAP recommends that babies don’t even get water until they are a year old. I will say Dr. Gardner and the nurses and staff were always very pleasant and professional, but this experience left me concerned for any new moms who might get this incredibly dangerous advice and actually follow it.

I heavily debated with myself over whether or not I wanted to write this review or just forget the whole situation. But after reading prior patients' reviews I figured I may as well add mine to the pile. First, the reason this office even gets three stars is because of Dr. Johnson. Otherwise this would be a one star review. Dr. Johnson is a five star doctor, She is phenomenal and when we decided to transfer to her from my child's previous pediatrician (she wanted a female doctor), Dr. Johnson made the transition very easy and smooth by immediately making my child feel comfortable and at ease. With that being said, that front desk staff is terrible. Actually, there is one particular receptionist who is especially dismissive. I always say doctor's offices have got to start paying more attention to the front desk staff because these people can actually run customers away and the doctor will never know why the patient suddenly stopped coming. In my case, the difficulty came into play because my daughter's new school in California was asking us to get a TB travel questionnaire/form filled out by my child's primary care physician. We called to set up an appointment and were told we didn't need one. On arrival my husband was told she couldn't be seen without an appointment and that she would HAVE TO get a TB test done if they were going to complete the form. Nowhere on this form does it ask for a TB test and there is nowhere on the form to write in the results from a forced TB test. After lots of back and forth the receptionist decided my daughter would have to see the doctor for a well child visit in order to have the form completed. She then said my daughter couldn't see the doc for over a month because they were all booked up, so that would be too late for the start of school. I asked if any of the doctors had an open appointment and she said no. Keep in mind, I am a healthcare worker with over 20 years of experience so I know better than this. In addition, pediatric offices always have some reserved appointment times for unexpected last minute visits and add ons. Long story short, I had to call the school system in California and let them know what happened. The registrar said she sees hundreds of new students per year from all over the world and this is the first time they have ever had a primary care physician refuse to complete such a basic form so that the child could attend school! She gave me an address to an office in California and I followed her instructions and walked in without an appointment. Five minutes, five questions and $47 later, the form was completed and we were on our way. I can't explain the frustration I felt in this situation. My child's chosen personal doctor's office couldn't even take 5 minutes to clear her to attend school but a doctor on the other side of the country, who has never met her, was willing to take the time to ask her the questions and complete the form. It LITERALLY was FIVE MINUTES! Well, needless to say, I'M DONE! Our original plan was to fly home for our regular doc and dentist appointments, etc. But I think I may be ready to move on and find my child a more suitable location where the office doesn't have an all powerful gatekeeper who decides whether or not we are "allowed" a visit with the doc.

Worst experience ever the doctor gave out false information and now my baby have RSV because the doctor told me to take my baby outside naked to cure jaundice. Do not take your newborn there unless you want her to get sick right after she born with something else

We just started seeing Dr. Harrell at Infirmary Pediatrics since we and new to the atea my and he has been amazing! He is very thorough and listens to all your concerns. I love that they have Mychart and are great at responding on there as well!

Dr. Nina Johnson is the best!! She listens to our concerns and treats my boy so good! The nurses there are always amazing to us parents and our little boy.

Doctor Johnson is a great doctor 👩‍⚕️ and also the others doctors are good too

the doctors are ok, but the office staff is terrible. They have messed up the billing a couple times
