Lauren Self's Online Review Report Card

This was my first visit with Dr. Self. Everyone was very nice from her nurse to the front desk staff. Dr. Self was a great listener and put me at ease. I felt like I was talking to a friend! I would definitely recommend her to friends and family.

I had a partial hysterectomy and was told by. Dr.self that my ovaries would keep me from going through premature menopause. As time went (a few weeks) on I started having hot flashes, not feeling right and eventually it got so bad (few months later) I thought I was losing my mind. Begged her 3 times to check my hormones, she said it was just perimenopause and to "suck it up!" Well I sucked it up like she said until I Couldn't handle it anymore and felt like death was the only cure until I finally went to another doctor and my ovaries were dead! I WANTED TO DIE! THAT'S HOW BAD I FELT. I HAD NO HORMONES, I WAS POST MENOPAUSE! I was dangerously low on all hormones and my thyroid and Pituitary gland was on verge of shutting down. She did NOT CARE and telling your patients to "suck it up?!" I now have hormone pelettes and a doctor that saved my life! DO NOT GO TO HER IF YOU WANT A DOCTOR WHO CARES!

Dr. Self is amazing! She has delivered both of my babies! She is so down to earth and truly cares about the women she treats! I have sent many friends to her and they all love her too! she just all around a great doctor.

The best OBGYN EVER very professional and caring.

This person delivered our first child in 2012. Total unprofessional and left my wife to wonder what was going on. Child looked like she had been in a car wreck when she was born because of the forceps. Hope nobody is using her for their baby delivery.

I've been using Dr. Self for over 5 years now, and she's one of the best medical practitioners I use. She listens to my concerns and always gives excellent treatment. She's helped me through some difficult medical issues, and she recently delivered my first child. Sometimes I do have to wait a little while to see her, but it's well worth the wait. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I also want to give a shout out to the staff. They are always polite and treat me like family. Azalea City Physicians is fantastic!

Dr. Self delivered my baby not long ago and she did an amazing job. She is kind and listens to all of your concerns. She also knew just what to say to keep me calm when I ended up needing a c section. Her staff in her office are also amazing. I love that I always saw the same nurse every time I went for a check up so you really get to know the people you’re going to be seeing all of the time instead of seeing a new person who doesn’t know who you are every visit. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an OB or a gynecologist to consider Dr. Self.

I had an appointment with Dr. Self today. She made me feel very comfortable from the minute she walked in the room. She took the time to talk to me & go over some very important things. She didn't rush out the door. I would definitely recommend her. I had a bad experience with my last gynecologist. It was so nice to sit and talk to a Dr. that truly cares about her patients.

I was referred to Dr. Self by a friend, after my OB-Gyn retired and had a bad experience with her substitute physician. Dr. Self takes the time to meet with her at her office and develop a personal contact BEFORE the first examination. She took time to take care of a problem that I had for years and finally is under control. She also recommended alternatives to medications as a first option.. and it worked! I am a senior and having a young professional that cares, takes her time, has a very positive and happy demeanor and always seems glad to see you- it is special. Love her...
