Dr. McKean is a wonderful doctor. I suffered a badly broken ankle that required surgery. I am in my fifties and this was my first injury or surgery. From my first visit I felt very comfortable and assured that I was in good hands. Had my surgery at Ascension Providence Hospital and everyone who cared for me was great. Dr. McKean and the staff at The Orthopedic Group are a pleasure to work with.

Wish I would have found Dr. McKean much sooner!! Within a 2 week time period, I recently saw another orthopedic doctor. This doctor was eager do surgery after only 2 quick visits. When I say quick visits, I mean the total time spent with me for both visits may have been 10 minutes. I was told there was no other options but surgery. I seriously felt like I was just a number and a pay check. This did not sit right with me, so I decided to do my due diligence. After doing extensive research for the best doctor I could see for my ankle injury, I was blessed to find Dr. McKean. I work in the medical field and had the luxury to ask other medical professionals to help me find the best. Trust me when I say this, he is the best! Even other orthopedic doctors will tell you when it comes to the ankle or foot “hands down” McKean is the best! From my experience, he is super thorough, he takes his time with you, explains everything in detail, and gives you options. Not to mention he is very laid back and down to earth. I didn’t feel like I was talking to someone who thinks they are better than me. I was inches from getting surgery (and still may need it) but so glad I went with my instinct to get a second opinion with Dr. McKean. I feel like I have options and a clear game plan to my road to recovery. I feel so relieved and 100% believe I am in good hands. Thanks Doc
