Worth the wait to get in as a new patient and worth the waiting room wait to see him once you’re in the practice. He has been thorough every time I have an appointment. My wait time varies from 30 min to 2 hours (urgent patients are worked in, as they should be). When you get your turn, you’ll understand why the wait time varies. He never rushes me, so I assume it’s that way with each patient. Very pleased after 5 years.

He spends time with you and very thorough. Don't expect to see him quickly though. Long long waits. He is probably worth it though because he will be very thorough and gets labs the week before every visit. best doctor I have ever had.

Dr McKELVEY has an excellent bedside manner. He is very thorough...and really cares about his patients. I recommended him to my daughter who has multiple health problems. She agrees with me.. He gives you- his patient- 100% of his attention..and has helped her with her problems 10X more than any Dr she had seen previously seen. He is very professional- and we think he's the best Dr. in Mobile.

Have been seeing him about 10 years. U do have to be prepared to wait but he spends time with all patients so it is worth the wait. Takes time to check on things no doctor every has. Talks to us and let's us ask questions. You cant be shy but he always hangs with us so we understand. He is always trying to make things better and the changes he makes might bother some folks. Would not change for anything. Can usually get in to see PA in hurry and he always shows up if she has any questions.

Thorough. Very intelligent. Excellent bedside manner. He is worth the wait. I suggest signing in 30 minutes prior to your appointment. Give yourself 15 minutes to get parked and walk in!!! Springhill Memorial parking lot is a busy place. Dr. McKelvey will take you seriously and follow up. If you're a patient with complicated issues, I suggest you get in line and wait. There's a reason he has so many patients and such a busy schedule!

Dr. McKelvey is a fantastic doctor. He takes his time, treats all the issues, knows issues of diabetes, and treats you like a human being. He answers all our questions and listens to all our concerns.
