I asked my primary care provider who was the best neurologist in our area and she replied that the one all the doctors see for their own issues is Dr. Hecker. It took me three months to get to see him but it was worth it. Dr. Hecker is very knowledgeable and seems to genuinely care about his patients. He is an active listener and you don't feel like he has to get through your appointment to see the next person. He is thorough in his diagnosis and he carefully explains his findings in a calm and thoughtful way. I highly recommend him. The pre-registration at a Kiosk is simple and his staff are friendly and professional. MRI and other tests are conveniently completed in the same office.

I have been seeing Dr. Hecker for nearly seven years and my husband has been seeing him for ten years. We both have had complex medical issues and he has been candid, thoughtful and treated us both effectively. Dr. Hecker listens and takes time with his patients. We have recommended him to multiple friends and family. Oh, and his nurse is the bomb! We love her.

I had a wonderful visit with Dr Hecker today He was concerned about my condition And I appreciate the time that he took for me to explain everything that was going on I highly recommend him to anyone That's in need of someone that cares and is concerned about your health. Dr. Hecker listens as you talk and seems concerned. I’ve dealt with serious migraines since I was 12 yrs old and I’m 51 now. It’s more than obvious that he doesn’t specialize in headaches/migraines. He doesn’t seem very interested at all and is not familiar with all of the newer migraine Rx’s and treatments. He is stuck on one or two meds and that’s it. His nurse is very unfriendly and rude, with no communication skills. I’ve tried to be nice to her, but I don’t think she has it in her to be nice. She’s a very unhappy person! My medical records are not available on the patient portal like it shows they should be. The diagnosis is wrong - showing non intractable migraines. I was diagnosed with intractable migraines many yrs ago and I still have them. Dr. Hecker may be a good neurologist, but he is not a headache specialist and his staff, nurse especially, leaves a lot to be desired.
