List of J. Allen Meadows's Reviews
Did not provide expected services and was not a good appointment. Extremely disappointed.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO SEE DR. MEADOWS. Took my 18 month old to see him for ear infections and chronic runny nose. He blamed it on daycare and suggested OTC medications. I took son to pediatric ENT 6 months later. His adenoids were massive almost entirely blocking nose, and he had thick fluid on ears causing significant hearing loss. Dr. Meadows never checked his adenoids.
My daughter’s pediatrician referred us to this practice approximately two and a half years ago. We’ve never had a pleasant experience there as everyone (besides the front office staff) are extremely rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. Dr. Meadows is ridiculously arrogant and doesn’t listen. It was bad enough during our last appointment when my repeated statements to the nurse practitioner at the time completely ignored me when I told her my daughter’s medication instructions were not the same instructions we were provided during the previous visit. But, a recent call to get help which resulted in no help whatsoever (verbatim “go to her primary care physician and call us when she gets better.”) leaves me no choice but to seek help from another allergist. I refuse to pay copays to a practice who elects to offer bottom shelf assistance and doesn’t listen.
I was at this office years ago!! I was coughing horribly and my Asthma was super out of control. When I did the PFT test, I couldn’t blow the sailboat across the ocean (which isn’t normal). My oxygen saturation was in the low 90 s (also not normal.) Dr. Meadows was extremely arrogant and basically said my Asthma was very mild. He did not listen to me as a patient. He put me on an inhaler that basically made me feel like I was receiving no treatment at all. I went back to my pediatrician because I was still a young teenager at the time and he came up with a plan to help get my Asthma more under control. I am now on the highest level of the maintenance inhaler that I take. My Asthma is quite severe. I do not recommend this doctor. He was a nice guy, horrible doctor.
My appointment with Dr. Meadows was to find out what is causing my skin allergies. He never looked at my skin and was more interested in diagnosing my lungs as damaged after listening to them for four breaths. My lungs are fine. He refused to perform the allergy test which was the whole point of this 'exercise'. Complete waste of time and money!
Dr. Meadows is a really nice guy and an excellent allergist, he’s the reason I’ve got my asthma under control and I know I’m allergic to the entirety of nature. Always professional and he hires good people.
My daughter is almost 2 years old. Her pediatrician referred us to Dr. Meadows to get allergy tested. She has severe Eczema, and we also think she has a dairy allergy or another allergy. So we get to the appointment and wait. For 90 minutes. Just for Dr. Meadows to walk in, look at her, and say "she has eczema. she doesn't need to be allergy tested." Umm. Excuse me?? She was referred here to specifically get the testing done, so your opinion does not matter. He said you can put her in a bubble and her skin will still look like that. Ok? But you can also pour milk on her and she will immediately turn red and start itching?? So his response was just that it was a reaction that flared up the Eczema. Needless to say my Pediatrician is furious and has referred us to someone else. I would not use this Doctor at all. His staff is very rude and does not care at all about your problems, or your child's apparently. If you want better service try Dr. Lee.

I felt rushed. He spoke over me many times and was dismissive to any concerns I had. I will be looking for another allergy doctor.
I've had awful allergies/breathing issues my entire life and Dr.Meadows improved my quality of life exponentially. I did not know day to day life could feel this good! I highly recommend Dr.Meadows and his wonderful staff!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
