Stephen W. Chandler's Online Review Report Card

I had sinus surgery ten days ago, with two post op visits thus far. Dr. Chandler spends time listening to my questions and answering them, has genuine concern for how I am feeling, a great sense of humor, wonderful staff with office located conveniently on first floor with free parking in a lot across the street. Surgery was performed at an outpatient surgery center across the street that is friendly, efficient, and caring. Dr. Chandler was highly recommended by two people, now three (me). He is extremely knowledgeable in his field, and I now deeply trust any advice he offers, as well as his skills.

4 stars is for Dr. Chandler but the office staff.... i don’t mind waiting for an appt, however I’ve had vertigo and horrible sinus pressure/headaches. I was told it would be 5 WEEKS before i could get in to see them. They do not have a cancellation list, i called daily, i was told i would have the nurses call me to see if they could get me in sooner. They never called and finally i had one girl in the office nice enough to make sure the nurse got the message. She called me back and said “ i spoke to one of the nurses and sorry we can’t get you an earlier appointment”. Keep in mind I had sinus surgery a year and a half ago, have had nothing but issues since. Not the fault of the doctor or the surgery but just this Alabama weather and my allergies. I do get allergy shots from their office but hated to have to switch to a different ENT but i could not wait 5 weeks every time i was symptomatic. Turns out this new office diagnosed me with BBPV which has become quite debilitating. I just don’t see how you keep accepting new patients when you make your current ones wait weeks/months for an appointment. It’s just not right. I was told “ he’s a specialist so it’s normal for an appointment to take weeks.... “ . My father is a physician and I’ve seen a handful of specialists and have never had to wait more than 2-3 weeks for an appointment. Beware that if you are miserable and symptomatic you will have to suffer for weeks if not months to be seen

Dr. Chandler is a good doctor but the wait time is absurd. I feel like my time was not respected. Basically, the appointment person needs improvement. I am seriously considering changing doctors after waiting so long. My appointment was set for 2:40; it is now 4:03 and I am still waiting.

Great doctor. Worth the wait if you have to wait.

Almost killed my precious son. Still have no idea what happened during and after surgery!!!! My son almost bled to death. Numerous complications!!! Had to have blood transfusions. We were treated like dirt, like garbage by dr chandler and jackson hospital and jackson surgical center!! We were left with thousands of dollars in medical bills and no answers!!! BEWARE!!!!

Dr. Chandler is a GREAT Doctor. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Awesome nurses too. Very pleased with the entire experience.

Makes me sad to read judgement of one of the best physicians in our area based on having to wait. Really, you should be thankful to have Dr. Chandler in our area. Dr. Chandler has helped thousands of people feel better, breathe better, sleep better, and overall have a better quality of life including myself! We have no idea what goes on past the waiting room. I too was in the office yesterday and guess what, Dr. Chandler was the only doctor graciously in the office covering for his partners time off. Of course it is going to be hectic. 1 doctor covering for 4 physicians.If you had a bad experience with the clinic or the surgery center I feel certain it was a very rare experience. Ask yourself, did they ever follow up with you or show concern...anyone from Dr. Chandler's staff? If they actually took the time to follow up with you this review isn't deserved. Things happen and they are trained to save lives and if your family member is still here today, you should be thankful. These reviews are an act of selfishness.I sincerely hope someone would not pass an opportunity by to visit Dr. Chandler based on a couple of negative Nancy's.

Dr Chandler cleared up from previous surgery from another Dr. He redid surgery. His office is a Wonderful office.

He is very experienced. I felt so much better after my procedure. I am most upset for not doing it sooner
