Diversicare Of Oneonta's Online Review Report Card

My mom has been living there for a few months now. She has called me a few times to call someone to get her what she needs. Such as a diaper change or clean clothes. There is a couple of staff members whom I adore, but the rest of them don't need to work there.Edit: 2 months later and we had to bury our mom. They neglected to take care of her the way they should have. Please don't take a love one here. I wouldn't even take my dog nor cat there

They killed my mom the pellcity location killed my grandfather someone really needs to investigate there facilities. If you have a loved one there lawyer up!

I wouldn't dare put another one of my love one's in this place for nothing. They are irresponsible and don't look after the resident's properly. My hands were tied and it the time it was the only place that would take a loved one. After several unexcused supposedly accidents that loved one was moved from their. Their not bathed diaper changed or feed properly. They only want money. Got a very low rating and I totally understand why.

My sister was at Diversicare and was the second longest resident there before her passing in August. Mandy Saddrix, the director, and all the staff were VERY caring of my sister who was an eclectic and complicated person. She had a lot of pain issues and was not always easy to care for due to her attitude and size. These people REALLY TRIED to make her home there a comfortable place. I trusted them when they said what she needed. They were very good about including me on important changes and decisions relevant to her care.They benevolently tolerated her addictive food obsessions leading to a small grocery store in her room of ramen noodles, chili, ravioli, soup, crackers, cookies, and the ubiquitous Friday night pepperoni pizza delivery. However, they were not perfect, no place is.They were perpetually understaffed on the weekends which were complicated with the insanity of Covid-19 restrictions. The food is starch heavy my sister said. She had no teeth so she had to have an easy to chew menu which she did not always receive. That said, I LOVE the workers at Diversicare of Oneonta. I can say this sincerely. Since I took care of and buried both my parents over these 10 years, I have utilized several other long term care facilities in the Birmingham metropolitan area. Some of them are HORRIBLE and do not CARE for the residents at all except for a check. Sure, they may look good on the internet, but they are indifferent and unprofessional on too many occasions. A very friendly staff and I excellent medical care for it's residents.

I fully blame my grandmother's death on this facility. They didn't care staff was awful and very rude to her. Don't put your family here. It's not worth losing somebody you love because they'd rather drug them to death then actually care.

5 Star Center, great place to work, very clean. Activities for residents daily, beautiful courtyard for Residents, bright with lots of windows. Team Members very dedicated to Resident care. Excellent Therapy department, with all disciplines of therapy including restorative care. Great working environment with very dedicated Team Members.

A staff member called me October 23,2020 for the first time to tell me I need to pick up my deceased brothers items or they would donate. I was in shock because my brother had been released from the hospital 3 weeks before to go home and he was home. She then corrected herself to say discharged instead of deceased and was very rude. Once I got over the shock that my brother was not dead she continued to tell me they had called me several times. I asked when was he there. It was in June. I let her know I had never heard from them. He had been there 2 days before demanding to leave because the care was so awful. I wouldn’t take my dying animal to this place. The care is awful and so rude. Then to get a call saying my family member was deceased! Shocking!! Seems the state needs to check into this place quickly!

The worst place to take anyone!! They DO NOT care about their residents. They leave them in dirty briefs for hours at a time. They don’t feed the ones that need fed. They don’t take care of them. I wish this place would get SHUT DOWN because it’s so bad!!! I will NEVER send anyone there

Not good with residents who have special needs such as oxygen and breathing problems..
