Great Location! Honest and respectful Dr & staff!

Dr. Whitworth’s career as a doctor is truly his calling. He is caring, compassionate, and attentive. He addressed all of my concerns and took the time to explain all of the details to me. I appreciate him for that. He is truly an amazing doctor and person.

Not impressed with first visit. Did not seem interested in discussing prior and current health. Dr. Smitherman was my primary care doctor for thirty plus years so I was hoping for a smooth transition with his replacement, Dr. Whitworth. Having had a very, very painful stomach condition resulting in two hospitalizations and treated with very strong narcotic meds (morphine and Dilaudid) a non-narcotic med was discovered that worked great. Originally prescribed to take one three times daily I am now able to take as needed, less than thirty per month. Without barely discussing Dr. Whitworth informed me he would not be refilling this medication due to danger of overdose. I’ve been taking over two years and personally continued cutting the disease back from three a day to as needed with Dr. Smitherman’s guidance. Dr. Whitworths decision occurred occurred within the first ten minutes of my appointment. One would think a new doctor would want to get to know his patients and carefully review their health history, medications, etc. I did not find this to be the case at all. I return in one month as a follow up to lab work. Hopefully my second visit will be much better. 11/30-22 I returned for my follow up visit and it was 180 degrees different than my first appointment. Dr. Whitworth was very attentive to my prior and current medical concerns and issues. It was a productive appointment and I look forward to this continued relationship with Dr. Whitworth as my primary physician.

When Dr. Smitherman retired, I wasn't sure I would find another doctor I was really satisfied with. However Dr. Whitworth has made the transition easy. He is easy to talk to and really listens. He is very knowledgeable and seems to be up to date on new technology.

Dr. Whitworth is fantastic. Super bedside manner and he doesn’t rush you. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Top Notch! I just hate the process Grande View requires the offices to be run by. It is a waste of time and burdensome and when you are really sick I can see why there is so much frustration for patients as well as the practices. Too many hands passing info for an appt only to find out your message was changed in the relay process. No longer feels like family practices used to feel. Bottom line, excellent Dr. Terrible process getting a medical appt only to be told every time they have no availability to see you unless you want to come later in the week. Some patients can’t wait until days later when sick, and need immediate visits with their Dr.
