List of Mark Ricketts's Reviews
I think this doctor has gotten in trouble from prescribing narcotics. He refuses to prescribe any cough medicine that actually works. No codeine. After calling in after 1st visit with sinus infection and was told you can only have bromphenir. So after 2 years of visits for sinus infections etc, I’m going elsewhere. We are both in the medical profession and have good conversations, but I’m here to get help getting better and coughing all day and night isn’t helping me or my wife……
I once liked Dr. Ricketts but in 2016 before he mysteriously disappeared from his practice he carelessly prescribed benzodiazepines to me that led to six years of absolute torment. I sure wish I could find him to thank him for his pathetic neglect.
Dr. Ricketts was mine and my husband’s Dr. Loved him. I have ADD, he has been the only Dr. that understands what I feel and what it’s like having a problem like this. Looking forward to seeing him again. Liz Skelton May 1,2021
It would be better to see a veterinarian than this awful, horror of a human being. You have to make your own diagnosis and he’ll give you the pills. ABSOLUTE DONKEY.
Go to a veterinarian before seeing Ricketts—worst doctor ever.
Dr Ricketts is a fast talking slickster. His entire approach is pure buffoonery. He doesn’t come in the room with a stethoscope. If his physical exam documentation includes anything more than what can be gleaned with the naked eye, he should be investigated for insurance fraud. Seems knowledgeable, but has no interest in educating his patient. It’s baffling, if you have to be present for your job-at least, DO the work and do it to the best of your ability
I scratched my cornea . I went to the Brookwood Emergency facility on Hwy 119. When I realized it wasn’t an Urgent Care facility I made the comment to the person taking me back that I didn’t realize that and hothey ed my insurance would cover it... I was in pain. She said they would check. While waiting for the doctor the insurance person says it was Sunday and they couldn’t get insurance information. Again, I was in pain. Dr Ricketts came in and numbed my eye.. that took about 3 minutes . 20 minutes later he came back and when I said it felt much better he said that told him the problem. He looked in my eye with a light and was out in maybe 4-5 minutes! Insurance girl comes back and says to sign and they would submit. My prescription was brought to me. If I had known all this I could’ve gone down the street to Urgent Care for my $25 copay !!! Waiting for an astronomical bill. I’m a retired teacher that was visiting my grandchildren . Should’ve been given this information immediately! And they send in , in my opinion, a doctor in such a hurry that I don’t even know when to stop using the ointment! Very disappointed in the facility and can find nowhere to contact this doctor .. all numbers online aren’t working . Why would this facility use a doctor like this and be so discreet about my insurance coverage until I had been treated? I was not in excruciating pain such that I couldn’t have discussed this initially!
How about this one guys!!!! My dad went there for yrs and he knew my dad had a spot on his lungs for yrs an never said anything..Then when my dad asked about the spot,he said oh that's been there for yrs...my dad died 4 months later...I will find him an get those records...best believe that Ricketts!! Why wouldn't you tell him if you knew you sorry a** human being...I mean YEARSSSSS....Look for me buddy
Dr. Ricketts was my elderly parents primary care physician for years. And although my parents really liked him and he was always pleasant in his interactions with them, I've always thought something was not quite right. He would prescribe meds, yet it would take multiple follow up calls to his office over the course of a couple of days for them to submit it to the pharmacy. Rarely would anyone answer the office line, it was mostly an answering machine and calls were hardly ever returned. Definitely not a way to run a medical office! Thankfully my parents found an amazing primary care doctor who actually cares, after Dr. Ricketts seemingly dropped off the face of the Earth for the second time without any notice or follow up.
I don't know what happened but service went way down. He never took a lot of time but it got to where he wouldn't even look at me or listen to me. Had problems with prescriptions and getting records sent. He moved his office again and didn't even contact his patients. I moved on.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
