Dr. Helms is a personable guy—his staff is rude and will talk over you. That aside, the level of incompetence is shocking. Dr. Helms has decided to practice medicine by proxy. I have been going to several different doctors over the years trying to find one that could find out what was wrong with me. I had given up until my daughter kept insisting I go see the doctor she happens to work for, Dr. Helms. I didn't believe he could help but my daughter insisted I needed to at least find a primary care doctor so I made an appointment. After a 10 minute conversation he looked at me and said "I think I know what's wrong with you"....and he had me scheduled for several tests and then referred me to a cardiologist. He hit the nail on the head. I suffered for years. I believe had the problem kept going without a diagnosis I wouldn't be here. I feel he saved my life...Dr. Rock Helms is my hero!!!!

Dr. Rock is a wonderful doctor who loves his patients and doesn't mind taking time to serve each one of them, in turn you have to wait and wait in his waiting room. He treats each patient like they are one of the family and is especially good with children with special needs. We would never use anyone else! He is the best doctor in Pell City!
