My ob/Gyn shared on call with her practice. I had never seen her while pregnant. When I went into labor, Dr. skudlatek-prete was it. She preformed an episiotomy on me against my wishes. Not only was I cut once, I was cut three times. She would cut then put the scissors behind her back then do it again. Said there was no way my son was going to come out without me severely tearing. I was panicked and scared as a first time mother in labor, I thought she knew best. Little did I know it’s recommended not to preform episiotomies! My baby was 8 lbs 10oz. I had a lot of pain with recovery. My second 9 lbs 10 oz not even a tear and delivered by midwives. Go with a midwife

Dr Skudlarek is amazing and has been my dr for 12 plus years!!! I don’t know why such negative comments but she is a great listener, so caring and kind and always knows me and my personal issues. Always reassuring as well!! Love all the docs as Bayside OBGYN

This doctor is awful. She exhibits no kind of empathy your just another number like your at the deli. Every time I saw her through out my pregnancy she absolutely no personality. Once I had my baby she wasnt even there she never even asked about birthing preferences. After my baby on a post natal appt she asked if I wanted birth control unsaid we wanted another child so we would just not do birth control and whatever happens. What she failed to mention to me is that your body needs ample time to revitalize itself and get all the hormones levels etc back to normal. I got pregnant 3 months after my pregnancy and ended up having a miscarriage. I called her office and the nurses didnt even say oh I'm sorry or have any compassion at all. They had to call me back to tell me what to do, and finally she told them to tell me to get blood work to test my hormone levels? Ummm obviously my hormone levels are low I just had a baby 3 months ago....I dont need to be a doctor to know that! I did try to go get the blood work and I also had my dead baby in a cooler bc they said to bring that to the lab too but I couldn't even find the lab bc there are 50 million labs at rhode island hospital and women and infants I literally when to 5 different ones and none of them had me in the system! Ughhh I'm walking around with my dead baby trying to get blood work which I dont even know why I need it! Horrible. Absolutely horrible

If I could give this doctor 0, I would! This doctor doesn’t listen to anything you say. She seems to think birth control solves everyone’s problems, even though I tried several different birth controls with no relief. Upon my last visit, she didn’t remember that I saw her several times that year for pain that I was experiencing. She didn’t even know my diagnosis! She wouldn’t even know my diagnosis if I didn’t push her to do a diagnostic laparoscopy! My last appointment was my annual where I get my pap done, and she didn’t even perform it. This doctor is a JOKE! Do yourself a favor and look for another doctor.

AWESOME doctor.....great surgeon....takes her time explaining things....soft spoken...calming voice....listens to you...doesn't rush....perfect c-sections 😍
