My father who is disabled on one side of his body from a stroke purchased a $500+ wig from Jim Shepperd in late August. Now, in mid December, the wig has fallen apart. When my father and I called to inquire about this, we were both told that this is typical and to be expected. Neither I or my father was told that the wig would only last a few months when it was purchased. I was concerned about this project when my dad told me about it at the start because I was worried Jim was trying to take advantage of my father. My suspicions were right. Jim has refused to fix the wig (he said he would not send it back to China for repairs) and he did not offer any sort of refund. He told me if I wanted any of the money back that I would have to hire an attorney and sue him. Jim said what he suspects happened is that the back of the wheelchair rubbed on the wig. I asked why on earth would he sell such an expensive wig to a man who is paralyzed on one side of his body who is no longer as mentally sharp as he used to be? If he thought being in a wheelchair would lead to the early destruction of the wig, shouldn’t he have told us this at the start? If he had been told that, we would have never purchased it. I’m truly disgusted that James Shepperd took advantage of my father the way he did. When I spoke with him he said I should be grateful because he drove to my father’s long term care facility in Bedford twice and accused me of playing the “disability card.” He grossly exaggerated the mileage and scornfully said he did not make much of a profit on this job. Beware of this man, especially if he is trying to sell your parents expensive wigs that will fall apart! *In response to owner’s comments* This is not slander because the experience is 100% true. Reviews are a place for customers to share their experiences, and I posted this so others will know to be cautious when dealing with this business. A few notes: The owner did nothing to offer to make this situation right. He didn’t offer to fix the wig nor did he offer any sort of refund. He is the one who suggested I hire an attorney and sue him if I wanted a refund. My father was not told the $500+ wig would fall apart in just a few months. I paid the owner immediately for the hairpiece (on Aug. 30). I asked for an invoice at the time and the owner claimed he could not produce one. Another red flag, but I still paid him promptly via Venmo so I could at least have some record of the transaction. This has been a nightmare of a transaction from start to finish. The owner makes it out that this was an act of charity but the drive from Bedford to Roanoke is 28 miles so I don’t know how he comes up with 250 miles when he made two trips out there. I am sure the $500+ we paid for the hair piece more than covers the imported wig and his mileage. Buyer beware.
Have been going to the Hair restoration centre for over 3 years. Has to be one of the most professional Environments I've ever experienced. This is consistent throughout the whole time and every single interaction and appointment weather over the phone text Internet or in person. Jim Sheppard has the highest integrity and is genuinely one of the nicest and smartest people you ever meet. I will not let anyone else touch my hair. This coming from a former military person who used to just get a quick cut for $9. The difference is that significant. No matter what you need in this realm they can help.
To find the latest techniques without having a drive 2 to 3 hours was pretty amazing to me. From the 1st phone call and subsequent meeting through the entire treatment protocol I was impressed with the professionalism Attention to detail And patience Of the staff. This is truly a hidden gem of a business. Even if I had not gotten the results that I did I would still have been glad that I met everyone as I now consider them friends.
I just spoke with this exotic hair salesman and he claims he cannot help repair or refund a wig for a man paralyzed in a 17,000 dollar wheel chair. (The hair piece was 600$ not just a 30 dollar wig)I left him a calm message explaining to him Bijan has 3 daughters with natural hair that could make a nicer hair piece. He then went on to say “I’m going to Answer to him” in a threatening manner. I have now made a police report and a restraining order will be in place so this Fraud does not pray on people who are suffering from more severe medical issues other than fake hair weaves. He said he’s made several trips to the nursing home consulting over this baloney and now he will surely NOT be back with a restraining order in the mail to him or he will be arrested. PERIOD. Why does this idiot learn the 12 Cranial Nerves and The way hair is grown in a follicle naturally rooted in a person head and synapses bulb endings, just another con artist in the Roanoke Area trying to SCAM people. Truly a shame there are such low dirty people like this in such a Beautiful Area. Merry Christmas from the Hashemzadeh Family!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
