It is hard to put into words what Dr. Herzig has done for me physically and mentally. It brings tears of happiness and gratitude to my eyes writing this review. I suffered on and off with back pain for years. I thought that I would just have to live with pain. A part of me was being robbed physically and mentally. BUT Dr. Herzig healed me! If some of you do not already know, Dr. Herzig is in an elite group of surgeons. There are only 500 in the U.S. From day one, Dr. Herzig made me feel confident in his hands. I honestly never had any doubts with him. I'm 41 and this was my first surgery so one could imagine the fear and anxiety I had. Dr. Herzig is a straight shooter and that made me very confident. What Dr. Herzig has done for me is priceless. I will forever be grateful. His staff was incredible throughout the process and I am very grateful for them as well. I felt well informed the entire way and if I was unsure of anything I emailed/called and was helped. Give the staff time to respond to you. It is only fair that they are given at minimum 24-48 hours. Thank you National Capital Neurosurgery!

Quite personable, bright, knowledgeable and confidence building. Felt much mentally better after our meeting than before- somehow that made my malady less foreboding. An aside- spinal issues suck - tell your kids/grandkids to do exercises that aid in preventiong back problems

I recently moved to Atl & needed to establish with a dr to treat Hydrocephalus. I needed my valve setting checked after an MRI, 4 days later he used a calibration tool & said I was fine. (headache/nausea) 4 days after I am back in OH with my neurosurgeon barely able to function, Dr. checked my setting and said it was so low, I had to have a CT to check for hemorrhages. They said he probably didnt know how to use the tool correctly since he does not use my implant. Wont return.

My experience w/ Dr. Herzig has been great. I went to him for a 2nd opinion. He recommended a different surgery than the 1st Dr., and sent me away with info to do my own research and make an informed decision. He recommended ALIF for my bulging degenerated disc (L5 S1), and after much research I realized he was right. He never rushed me during any appts and answered all my questions. I was terrified to do it and cancelled at first and then rescheduled. So far I feel less pan than before surgery.

Love Dr. Herzig, He preformed my discectomy. He was very informative and friendly. He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns and discuss both the pros and cons of my options. He never made me feel rushed during any of my appointments. I would deffinitely recommend him!
