I found Dr. Casterline to be a wonderful doctor. He explained everything to me before and after my surgery. There was no question he wouldn’t answer. He didn’t talk down to me and explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner. Before my quadruple bypass, he saw the fear in my eyes and, took my hand in both of his, and told me I’d be fine. Thank you, Dr. John Casterline.

Dr. Casterline repaired my mitral valve so I didn’t have to have it replaced. He thoroughly explained what he needed to do and the pros and cons and alternatives. Everything went exactly as he said and after open heart surgery I was home in 4 days and have improved daily with no complications. All of my cardiac intensive care nurses said he is the only surgeon they would want treating them if they needed it. Great surgeon who saved my life!

From the time I got there until the time I left I felt assured that i was in the best hands possible. Dr Casterline explained my options again & told me why he thought my option 4 surgery was the best route 2 take in his opinion because of where the mass was. He didn't sugarcoat.. & that in itself was a plus 4 me.. therefore I wasn't surprised about the extremity of the pain after surgery. From Dr Casterline office 2 Grandveiw Medical Center, i felt like family. I Thank God 4 such caring people. I would recommend Dr Casterline 2 others, cause he tells it like it is 2 the best of his ability

Very impressed. He took care of my cardiac tumor. He was very efficient in getting things done, answered all questions about the open-heart surgery. I found him very personable as well. Would have no problem sending any friend or family member to him.
