Not impressed, been dealing with this surgeon as a second opinion, since the first surgeon Dr Mark Grant did a surgery that I didn't even talk about. I've lost 46lbs since Dec 10, and still losing, Dr packrafter decided to send me to mass general b excuse he has thrown his hands up.

He was in a fellowship at St. Vincents Hospital in Erie, Pa. He was assisting my doctor with a routine hysterectomy. He cut my colon resulting in a severe case of sepsis after two weeks, It's a shame these doctors don't consider the damage and trauma they are doing to a person's life, maybe they would be more careful.

The rare doctor who will explain everything to you and in terms you can actually understand. Then he listens to your questions and really seems to care! We are indeed fortunate to have him at Maine General!

This physician refused to discuss the risks and side effects of the proposed plan of treatment. I needed a routine colonoscopy and this surgeons thought it was too much to review treatment options. I went to another center that took informed consent more seriously.

Dr Pakraftar is now working at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, ME. I would 100% recommend him. My daughter is severely handicap. He removed a cancer area in my daughter colon. He did an awesome job! Her stitches look great. He is kind and extremely Knowledgeable. He talked to her. Like he said she is the most important person. I just answered the questions (she can't talk). She was one of the first surgeries he was in charge of. If I need surgery he will be the one I go to.

Dr. Pakrafter is now with General Maine Medical Center, in Augusta, ME. My daughter, who is severely handicap, was diagnosed with colon cancer. Our first meeting with Dr. Pakrafter was great! He would talk to my daughter, even though her dad and I had to answer the questions he made sure to look at her. He said she was the most important person in the room. He was very polite. Never sugar coated anything. He took his time with her and with us. He made sure all of our questions were answered. Never made us feel like we had to get out of the room. He did the surgery and even though he worked very late in the evening. He made sure to check on her. He is very professional and compassionate. I would totally recommend him.
