Had By pass surgery Sept 7 2019. Every since haven’t been able to use my right hand he told me (Dr. Patel) that this was only temporary and full function will be restored. Well it’s been well over 1 year now and I still hand tie my shoes or any other activities involving my right hand. Been to there neurologist and they have performed several test still no help. Seemed like he didn’t even care and now I’m stuck with a useless right hand. Beware

Dr. Patel, his PAs and his staff went above and beyond the norm. The kindness and care they showed for both my husband and myself was a tremendous relief. Lindy was an amazing help in navigating the red tape with the VA. Tracy and Melissa were extremely helpful in explaining EVERYTHING to us. Dr. Patel gave both us the time and reassurance that was needed during this very scary time in our lives.

Dr. Vijay Patel performed my cardiac bypass surgery at Augusta University Hospital. My wife and I found him to be an extremely skilled, compassionate, and dedicated physician. He has an excellent bedside manner and listens to patient and family concerns. We are grateful for this outstanding physician's care and recommend him without reservation.

Dr Patel and his staff were excellent. The information on the pre op, prior to operation discussions, and care after the operation was very clear and concise. They all truly cared about me during the time in intensive care allctye way until I was released from the hospital. I cannot say enough or thank them enough for extending my life and the great care given.
