I see Dr. Rians in Opelika. Most of the time, he’s more punctual than the majority of doctors. Usually spends 15-20min w/you instead of 5min like some psychiatrists I’ve seen. Takes detailed notes. I’m a big believer in medication and realize that I need them for my conditions. My complaint is that if you’re not getting better, he’ll add meds instead of replacing them. If one doesn't work, instead of taking you off that one, he'll add another one. And another one. But I put my foot down and said that if you want to add one, consider taking me off another one. And he did that and didn't seem at all offended. He doesn't always look you in the eye and closes his eyes and leans back in his chair often. It was weird at first, but I've realized that you shouldn't read anything into it. Staff is pretty good, not at all rude, but a few times they've forgotten to make appt reminder call and had to be asked twice for refills, so check w/pharm before traveling there to pick it up.

Dr. Rians is extremely professional, caring, and knowledgeable. He is not just processing people through but actually takes the time to listen and make his diagnosis/recommendations with your input. I have never encountered a physician like this before. I would recommend him highly to anyone in need of psychiatric services. The rest of the people who work in this office are also very pleasant and efficient in things like scheduling appointments, handling payments, etc. Having to see a psychiatrist (or any kind of doctor) isn't fun but Dr. Rians' practice makes treatment as nice of an experience as possible.
