MIchael Mcghee's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. McGhee after being referred by my PCP got swollen tonsils. He immediately came in without any introductions or greetings not making me feel very welcome. The visit proceeded by him not wanting to treat me. He told me he didn’t think my issue was that bad even after I told him I had been choking on food and had several other issues because of my tonsils. He suggested that I just eat softer foods. He didn’t believe me when I told him my tonsils were causing me to choke on my food. After I told him I wanted to be treated he tried to scare me away from taking steroids to try to fix the problem by telling me they would make me emotional. He then told me the steroids would make me hungry. Trying to be funny he told me not to go eat a bunch of food and choke. I found the joke to be in extremely poor taste. I’ve never felt so unheard dismisses and belittled by a health professional before.

I went to see Dr. McGhee for swollen tonsils after being referred by my PCP. The office staff were great but it went downhill once I saw Dr. McGhee. He did not listen when I told him my tonsils were a problem. He said he didnt think that they were a problem and that I simply needed to eat softer foods after I told him I was choking on my food because of them. He didnt want to treat me and only after my insisting that it had been an ongoing problem did he reluctantly prescribe steroids. He then tried to scare me away from the steroids saying they would make me emotional and then made a joke telling me not to choke on my food because the steroids would make me hungry. I was at a loss for words and have never felt so dismissed and embarrassed by a dr before.

Dr. McGhee is wonderful I would recommend him to anyone who is going through sinus problems his staff is great and easy to schedule with.

At the time my son was only 1 month old the day we went to see Dr. McCgee due to being extremely tongue tied and having to get it clipped. My sons original PCP referred us to Dr. McCghee and I’m so glad he did. Extremely nice and will listen. He’s gentle and understanding. I will continue going there if amy problems arise between now and then. I highly recommend seeing him.

Truly one of the nicest people Ive seen and a great doctor who really cares about his patient. All doctors should have a bedside manor like his Thanks doc

Dr. McGhee I cant thank you enough for taking your lunch time to call my daughter to discuss my three year old grandson. We have been through ten 10 days of misery with her son suffering w multiple swollen lymph nodes fearing everything imaginable. I would recommend anyone to consider you first as an ENT as you have much compassion and simplified lab results to my daughter that were misinterpreted by a Pediatric Clinic three times in a week I cant thank you enough God Bless You

Dr. McGee is a very professional wonderful ENT doctor that my kids and I just love. I would recommend him to anyone one. His office staff is just as friendly and professional.

Dr. McGhee was extremely niceand professional. My son was in the NICU at birth due to being a bit early and as result the doctors were so busy with the bigger issues they missed his Ankyloglossia tongue tied. At 8 weeks we finally caught it and Dr. McGhee worked us in as quickly as possible. Our first appointment was cancelled as Dr. McGhee had an emergency surgery as many doctors do. I was aware the two options were to wait and put him under for the surgery later in life or to go ahead clip it in the office before he got any older. Since my son was already having issues as results of his condition spitting up unable to use a paci gas somehow they worked us in a few days later During the meeting Dr. McGhee could tell we were worried and answered all of our questions until we felt fully comfortable. His nurse was extremely helpful in making out decision which we decided to have Dr. McGhee clip his tongue in the office that day. We are so lucky he did My son cried more from getting held than the pain and the cut was healed within a day or two. Immediately my son was able to take a bottle much easier and was able to get a good grip on his paci. I forget we ever had to go through this since he has had no long term effects since he had the procedure doneWe will be returning to Dr. McGhee for tubes in the ear due to a reoccurring ear infection. We were unable to get rid of the infection for over a week and Dr. McGhee was able to squeeze us in the very next week I feel confident Dr. McGhee will be as knowledgeable and friendly as before. I would recommend him to anyone
