It has taken me a while to be calm enough to write. As soon as I got in my car from my visit with Dr. Gaines I was in tears. I need knee surgery. But the condescending 'lose 50 pounds preferably 100 and come back" attitude was cruel. Not to mention gel shots could be an option but since Dr. Gaines claimed my insurance doesn't cover it, he said he wouldn't do it. Maybe he should have asked if I wanted to pay myself. I could have. Last but not least if necessary he said he could give me narcotics. I can handle difficult news and I am sure Dr. Gaines is a good surgeon. But I don't suggest going to him unless you have the perfect body and have money. He left me believing for now I would just have to be in pain.

Dr. Gains is a wonderful doctor. He takes the time to explain your options and does not push the need for surgery. He gives you a concise description of your options and lets you make the decision.

Great dsurgeon! Did my shoulder bicep tendon and previously my knee. All were very successful

As an athlete, tearing my bicep was a nightmare. I was worried that my fittest days would be forever behind me. But not even 3 months has gone by since my surgery and all my concerns are gone. My flexibility in my arm is perfect, all functionality is perfect, and I'm confident that I'll be back and better than ever in due time. Dr. Gaines has made it so that ripping my tendon off my bone was no more than a slight speed bump, not the wall that I once thought it would be.

Dr.Gaines done a wonderful job with my hip replacement and he always takes time to explain things and him giving me the cortisone shots in my knees helps me so much. Just a wonderful physician.
