Annual check up: Listened attentively when I explained about an issue, checked my eyes specifically for the potential cause, and recommended a solution. He performed my cataract surgery more than 10 years ago, and I continue to see exceptionally well since that time. I have been going to Dr Betts for the past 14 years and would not consider changing. He is professional and is concerned about your vision.

I have had comprehensive annual checkups with Dr Betts for 10+ years now. He is always cheerful and extremely thorough and reviews results with me, his staff is friendly and very efficient and professional. In April 2021 I experienced flashes in my peripheral vision and was worried about retinal detachment. I was quickly examined and told I had a very large 'floater' that was pulling at my retina but no detachment. I was reassured and by the time I returned for a checkup 3 weeks later my eye had stabilized. No further issues to date. The optical department is also top notch (Nancy in particular is great!) and has taken care of proper fitting and adjustments for me many times. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of service and frames/lenses. Basically, I can always count on getting all my eye and eyewear needs fully met at McDonald Eye Associates. My wife is also a patient here and feels Dr. Betts is excellent and the group provides top quality services.

Staff extremely pleasant and knowledgeable! Dr. Betts took all the time needed to explain the results of tests and exam as well as to answer any questions I had. Very professional and genuinely interested in providing the best care possible. Recommend highly for all your eye care needs.

I am giving a 1 because I cannot give a ZERO. If you value your eye sight DON'T LET HIM TOUCH YOU!!!! He messed up my left eye and will now NOT SEE ME to even give me a prescription for glasses. He CLAIMS to care but when he screws up? you will just have to deal with his mess.

I can only give a one because I cannot give a ZERO. Dr Betts RUINED my left eye. And, he has decided that since he cannot fix it, I am no longer his patient and he will no longer even ATTEMPT to help me, he will not even see if he can provide me with a prescription to get glasses. He won't try. He screwed up and now, I have to live with it because HE DOES NOT CARE. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!
