It is the best visit I’ve had with a doctor and his PA. Dr. Armstrong is wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone that has back problems because he knows what he’s doing and he cares
The staff and Physcian's Assistant were all very nice. When you are referred to Dr Armstrong you see the PA for screening. If you are even a little over weight, don't waste your time and co-pay on going there. Also if you are a smoker, forget about it. They only want to see perfectly fit patients.
Dr Larry Armstrong and his team done an outstanding job on my lumbar surgery. Very professional and intelligent crew. Thanks also to all the Nurses And personell that took care of me at Washington Regional after the procedure. You guys are #1 in my book. Thanks again.
HORRiBLE customer service and uncaring medical staff and after almost 2 months of waiting non productively around Dr Armstrong’s practice to get surgery on my daughters back we are back to square one and will have more time, pain, and money to spend with another Physician. Referred to Dr Larry Armstrong for herniated discs after being in pain for 8 months with many failed therapies. She is also fully insured and should be a desirable customer. After the referral, multiple calls to check on progress, and literally a month and a half of “reviewing of her case with the team”, then finally getting to an appointment she was scheduled to see the PA Candace Harper not the surgeon. She had her get another more recent MRI and then made her wait again for an additional week. She received a call that said “you can lose weight and see if that will help or we can do surgery - call us back and let us know”. Since She has been herniated for 8 months and am in pain and can’t move - surgery seemed the best option so after attempting to contact them back with no return call for another 3 days She finally got in touch with a receptionist only to be told after being placed on hold 4 times mediating an apparent conversation with the PA Candace that Dr Armstrong wont do her surgery because of my weight (not that bad by the way) but that another Dr would. She said I wasn’t referred to that Dr I was referred to Dr Armstrong and she said She would have to start over with the other physician. NOPE - not in this practice!

Dr. Armstrong and his staff were truly outstanding, from Kelley to Tod to all that were on my team made me fill safe to be in their hands. They took the time to explain exactly what was going to take place and the out come.I came in on Tuesday morning and left the next day,With surgery on ACDF C4 threw C7 and T1 with oustanding success.Thank from all are HeartStan n Elaine Goseland
Dr. Armstrong and his team performed a discectomy on my back. I had this procedure done by a different surgeon 5 years ago. It was not a good experience so I went into this procedure absolutely terrified. The same procedure, five years ago, left me in bed crying and unable to get around for several weeks. Today it has been four days since the surgery with Dr. Armstrong. I am a little sore. That’s it. I was able to walk slowly on day one and I have been getting progressively more mobile. Today I can do everything on my own other than picking up heavy objects or bending a lot. The best part is that I woke up with NONE of the nerve pain that I had when I went under. I didn’t even remember what it felt like to feel normal. I would take this soreness and slowness over the nerve and back pain that I have been suffering from for so long. I cannot stress this enough... YOUR SURGEON MATTERS. How much pain you will be in and the healing process is directly correlated to how skilled your surgeon is! Dr. Armstrong is an incredible surgeon and I will always recommend him to others.
Dr. Armstrong & his entire staff have had their hands full with me. My brain says that I can do anything...my spine doesn't agree. They have treated me with complete respect, we have laughed, cried & i have been scolded a few times but it was for my own good.Dr. Armstrong has performed 2 of my 3 back fusions & both times over a nine year period. Both times i came out of the hospital walking much better than when going in & never got an infection.I did not personnaly require physical therapy & check-ups at 1 & 3 months started off with, " You have to be good, heal & take it easy." After my yes, I'll be good talk we laughed, looked at my new hardware on x-ray & I left feeling like I had just been to a family reunion rather than a doctor appointment.I don't trust many people...especially when it comes to me being able to walk...but, I do trust this team. They have been good to me & I am grateful for their knowledge & concern!
Back in November, right before Thanksgiving I had neck surgery. Dr Armstrong was very nice to me. Before I was crying for help every time. I laughed when he told me that after surgery I would feel 100%. Dr Armstrong did not lie in any of it. Thank you so much Dr Armstrong. Jacki Coffeen
Dr. Armstrong and his staff were outstanding in every respect from my first appointment and throughout my surgery. The hospital stay was overnight. That was another story. I chalk it up to being there during COVID. The nursing staff was mostly friendly but seemed short staffed and a bit disorganized.
You cannot see him on your first visit. He puts you off on his physicians assistant. That is his policy per the receptionist. I am not wasting my time and my money to see a physician's assistant when they are not the one that is going to be doing the surgery on my spine. My time is valuable to me. I'd rather not waste it.
Dr. Armstrong was very upfront with me about my surgery. I had a cervical fusion 6 years earlier and the surgery failed. Dr. Armstrong did a posterior fusion that decreases the chance of a third surgery. His nurse practitioner Candace, did a great job with following me post op.
Best neurosurgeon around. He literally performs miracles as I'm living proof. Ive had 3 neck surgeries all which he has performed, when no one else would take on the risk. He saved my life! He is so knowledgeable & caring. He goes above & beyond 2 care 4 his patients. I wouldn't trust another person 2 touch me but I trust him with my life. Best ever!
He is a blessing to his field!! He worked miracles on my sister's brain after a tumor was found. She is doing awesome and has nothing but love for Dr. Armstrong. Thank you sir for helping us to keep my sister.
We were sent to ER on a Friday night and told my husband had a fractured spine and a tumor close to severing his spinal cord. Dr. Armstrong came to meet us at 4:00AM Saturday, operated at 10:30AM and my husband was able to walk without pain that evening. He was concerned, professional and brilliant! I will be eternally grateful.
Office staff are very unprofessional. Candace, the PA, awful. I do not recommend this office, the staff, or the Dr.’s. I had an appointment scheduled ahead 1 month. Candace and the staff turned me away, wouldn’t see me over being a few minutes late. The reason why I was late, the staff instructed me to go next door to pick up my MRI disc. When I returned 5 minutes later, my wife was in tears bc of the way she was treated. They wanted to reschedule another month out.
Dr Armstrong did a fantastic job, for the first time in over a year I am pain free and not popping or cracking when I walk, 2 weeks after surgery I can walk 2 miles without pain meds needed
Dr. Armstrong cares very much for his patients. He explains everything in detail before the surgery date. He asks if You have questions and wants Your input. He has done surgery twice on my back, lower and upper.
Horrible staff. Didn't get to see anyone. Candance and her front desk people are completely unprofessional and discourtesy. Such inconsiderate behavior. I do not recommend this office whatsoever. There are so many Dr.'s out there that has a staff that are grateful for your business. Apparently, Dr. Armstrong doesn't care either or his current staff would work there. I'm sure he knows about all the bad reviews. Negligence on his part. Overall, not a good place of business.
Referred from Ft Smith to PA Candace Harper for evaluation. Checked in with the papers they sent filled out, and was taken back in under 5 min. Waited a couple of minutes and she came in completely prepared - performed an exam and reviewed my MRI with me in detail. Very professional but friendly and open to all my questions. She will consult with Dr. Armstrong and I am completely confident he will have ALL the info he needs to evaluate my case. If he needs to lay hands on me to figure something out, I’m sure they will call me in. For the record, a PA completes a college degree then spends 3 years earning their Masters degree in Advanced medicine. A -C after their title indicates additional requirements have been met to achieve certification. To refer to someone with these credentials as ‘uneducated’ defies the imagination. Like many PAs, she introduced herself to me by her first name- a courtesy rarely afforded by many professionals with far less education and one which I appreciate. As miserable as I feel, my visit to this office was a pleasure.
