List of Tom PATRICK Coker's Reviews
Dr Coker did surgery on both of my knees. He was extremely knowledgeable about my condition and helped find a solution that made my knees better than they had been for 20 years.
My experience with Dr. Coker was wonderful. I had terrible knee pain, which we diagnosed in just a couple of minutes. I had been to 2 other Orthopedic doctors with no relief. Within 2 weeks I had surgery and I’ve gone o. To normal activity in 11 days. His staff is courteous and answered all my questions.
This guy is just rude and condescending. No way I let him touch me.
He has a pretty good bedside manner, but the treatment left a lot to be desired. I had a knee scope done on workers comp and 2 rounds of physical therapy. Here it is 3 years later and I'm still in pain. Nothing got resolved. I'm now seeing a different orthopedic doctor and paying out of my own pocket to fix my knee. Just with the one treatment I've had, it already feels a lot better. I had heard good things about him before hand, but unfortunately I will never go back.
I was impressed with the care I received from Dr. Coker and his staff. Not only was a great diagnostician, he treated me with respect and caring. He did surgery on me knee for a torn meniscus and I recovered in half the time it took compared to a friend who had his done by another local surgeon. Great surgeon - I would recommend him to everyone.
Dr. Tom Coker is one of my favorite physicians. He is down to earth and has the ability to diagnose sprots injuries even before the MRI. I had a torn cartilage in my knee and after the initial exam he hit it right on the nose. I was so pleased with the way he explained the surgery I needed in a way I could understand. His staff was very courteous and returned my calls when I had questions. I had a very quick recovery, never used crutches and after behaving myself and laying down for a few days I gradually returned to my full activity without a problem. I would recommend him to everyone.
Dr. Coker did my knee scope for a torn ACL a few months ago. After a few weeks I was up and going and was amazed at the progress I made. I later heard he was one of the best in the area for ACLs and I now believe it. He was quick to diagnose my problem too and knew before my MRI what was wrong. I would recommend him to anyone who has a problem with their knee.
Doctor walked out while I was on explaining my injury to answer a phone call without saying anything or apologizing on return. Completely unprofessional. Did not act like was listening or look at me when diagnosing. Did not explain properly and ushered me out as quickly as possible. Patient number 53 next... I was treated like a number not a patient who is hurt and concerned about their recovery. I might not be his first patient but this was my first major injury and I expected better professionalism. Don't go to him.
I thought Dr.Coker was exceptionally knowledgeable about my ACL tear. I have known other people who had their ACL done by someone else and I recovered twice as fast. Great surgeon!
Dr. Coker did an MPFL reconstruction and lateral release surgery on my left knee about 3 months ago. We tried to avoid the surgery by doing physical therapy before hand, but my knee cap kept dislocating so we decided to go through with surgery. He was very helpful with answering all my questions before the surgery and after my surgery with follow ups. One of my incisions got infected and I couldn't get in to see him because of work, so he squeezed me in during his lunch break one afternoon. He is incredibly intelligent but doesn't talk down to his patients. I would highly recommend him for any of your knee problems.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
