List of Curtis Ryan Powell's Reviews
He is one of the best physicians I have ever been to. He takes time to assure I understand what I need to know, listens to any questions or concerns I might have. If I make a suggestion about changing something and it isn’t in my best interest, he helps me to understand why, he is open to suggestions. I have a chronic bladder issue that requires fast treatment out of the blue, I can get in for the treatments without delay. His personal nurse, Stephanie, is top notch as are the experienced NPs and rest of staff who are in the office. I’m so glad he was recommended to me years ago.
Dr. Powell is an extraordinary, caring, courteous and intelligent doctor. My combo surgery was not an easy one and he “nailed” it! I am already feeling like a new person, better than I have in years and it is thankfully due to Dr. Powell. Thanks a million times to Dr. Powell and his staff for all the amazing care.
Dr. Powell was very nice, but his nurse Stephanie is horrible! She is rude and condescending and is making me rethink using another doctor. I am scheduled to have spinal surgery next week and cannot have it if I have an active kidney infection. When I called to get medication to clear it up before my surgery, she actually told me that a severe kidney infection would not keep me from having surgery and denied my request for an antibiotic. Subsequently, I had to go to a different doctor just to get Amoxiclave and may not be able to have my spinal surgery now because it delayed my treatment. They also keep trying to schedule me with a NP or a PA when I am in Stage 2 kidney disease and need to see a doctor instead. SHE is a nightmare!! If she can't speak nicely to patients, and doesn't know that a severe and active infection WILL prevent surgery, she shouldn't be a nurse.
As far as a doctor goes he seems great, the office staff however seem to feel that they don't have time to answer questions or get back to you in a reasonable time. I wanted to see the doctor before my scheduled surgery and Stephanie said that he did not have time to meet with me. So she cancelled my surgery as I did not want to proceed if I could not meet with him prior. My surgery is two months ...
Wonderful doctor, great staff!
Dr. Powell is friendly, kind, considerate and willing to take the time to make sure I was comfortable with the surgery he performed. The procedure I had was the easiest recovery I have ever experienced. I would highly recommend Dr. Powell.
Speechless is how I left feeling. He told me the next time I see him he is going to perform a procedure and made it clear by his body language and lack of asking if I had any questions that it was time for me to leave. I didn’t show up for my procedure because when I looked it up I found there’s several types of this treatment. Nurse refused to comment over the phone as to what type because I missed my 4 month check up I was never informed about.
Extremely satisfying, answered all questions, gave me helpful advice to help me with future problems if they arise. Had surgery Oct 2013 and repair to my prolapse bladder corrected. Everything has been great since. Would highly recommend him.
Technically I'm still being treated, but so far I've not had any complaints regarding Dr. Powell or his staff. The office is a bit hard to find and busy, but it's well worth it. He has a great disposition and is very compassionate.
Dr. Powell has made a profound positive difference in my life. Just knowing I have him to call on when my symptoms flare up gives me huge piece of mind and has greatly reduced my symptoms.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
