So after my experience and then reading reviews I had the same experience as others. I’ve had severe nausea for four going on five years now. Today we did an endoscopy and before having it was already being told I was going to be given heart burn medicine after telling him I didn’t have heart burn or indigestion problems. He kept interrupting me and seem to have his mind already made up on what was wrong with me. I ended up not getting a biopsy which I was told I was going to be getting and he acted offended when I asked about that. So now I’ll be getting a huge bill when nothing was done and I was given over the counter heartburn medicine. Aside from all that the nurses were so beyond nice to me. The only good part about it.
I would rate him as a 0, I have had this problem for years. I keep having it, been in the hospital twice. I still have problems. His bed side manor is terrible, he has been know to curse in the office to me. I am looking for a better Gastroenterologist
If I could give Dr. Joseph 0 stars, I would. I saw him in October 2020 after several months of unexplained vomiting and diarrhea. I am a medical marijuana patient, and during this period of time where I was sick and did not have a diagnosis, marijuana was the only thing that helped me. After a 30 or 40 minute long appointment when Dr. Joseph interrupted me multiple times and didn't seem to be taking my concerns seriously, I expressed to him a family history of diseases like Celiac disease. He did not seem to take this seriously either, and told me at the end of my appointment that I most likely had cannabis vomiting syndrome and to stop smoking marijuana. A month later, I had an endoscopy with Dr. Joseph and after the endoscopy when I asked if he had taken biopsies for Celiacs etc he said " I would have if we had discussed that in your appointment." So, after almost 500 dollars in medical bills I received no treatment or answers beyond to stop smoking marijuana. I have since seen another local gastroenterologist, Dr. Herraka, who after one colonoscopy discovered I have the autoimmune inflammatory bowel disease ulcerative colitis. So, Dr. Joseph both failed to diagnose me, did not treat me, and was an extremely rude doctor. Had he even attempted to investigate my illness properly, I wouldn't have had to spend an extra six months to receive a diagnosis and suffer extremely during that time. Would not recommend to anyone, especially women or medical marijuana patients and I will not ever be returning to his office.
We sat in the waiting room for over an hour in a half past appt time and the lady at the desk has the ordasity to be rude to me....they called everyone but her....if we were an hour late they wouldn't c us...this is by far the worst place we have been...I don't recommend anyone...

Friendly staff
When Dr. Joseph performed a procedure upon me, but he was extremely KIND and COMPASSIONATE. The NURSES gathered around me and said a prayer for me, before I was put under.
Dr joseph was rude and kept interrupting when i tried to talk - kept saying not his problem .have been with dr joseph for several years but i am considering changing doctors .
He’s from a different culture and his bedside manner particularly with women is not what we are used to as American women. However this man’s tenacity as I was laying dying in a hospital bed literally with a sudden unexpected onset of autoimmune hepatitis, saved my life. He was like a pit bull to find a cause that made sense. I’ve been with him for five years now and I told him he’s pretty rugged on his nurses and his patients sometimes but I still appreciate getting him for my doctor. I’d be 6 feet under without him.
He is great at what he does and so is his staff. I have had several colonoscopies with him. My husband just had one too. Makes you very comfortable with it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
