Awful doctors and rude nurses. Would not go here if I could!
I'm not thankful any time I have to step foot in a hospital. The staff is very kind and considerit
They were fast and professional
2nd experience with Mercy. Just as bad as the first. X-rays conducted with my pants down around my knees and my underwire bra pulled over my breasts. saved them a few seconds but robbed me of all dignity. Also, BP, Temp. Hgt, Wgt. etc., never taken but was on my take away papers. Realized it was a very old one from my referring GP. I'd lost 26lbs since that time. Altogether not professional or caring in any way.
Best hospital in Ft Smith? Only because there's only one other and it doesn't get much worse than Baptist. If you're looking for a step up from a very low level nursing home, Baptist is your place. Mercy is a step above that. That being said, I pray you never have to use ER at either of these facilities as you are likely to die or be treated so horribly and inhumane you'd likely wish you had! The doctors are jerks and are completely disrespectful. There may be one decent one on a rare occasion but you'd be hard pressed to stumble upon him/her. And for the most part you'll never actually see a doctor. You'll see a nurse practitioner. Whom, let's face it, if you have the flu and need a nose swab is great. But if you are seriously I'll, will simply not do. But that's the reality you face. However, fret not, you will pay the price for an actual doctor either way.
asked if we could get discharged. Was told we couldn't and when we asked about doing a ama the charge nurse said she would inform dhs and tell my insurance not to cover the surgery. My wife was never asked if she was on any prescription, they did a drug test on her without consent. She has a prescription for the drug she failed. Now dhs is at the house. Over a legal prescription
Brought my wife in with severe symptoms and vitals of heart attack, BP 179/124.. after 7 hours, 3 different bp iv medications, pain meds, nausea meds, sent home with bp still 158/105 and told to follow up with PCP.
Wonderful care and very friendly people. Thank you all so much for the care of our family member!
If you come to this hospital, FOR GODS SAKE bring some bologna cheese and bread with you, I have been here for 20 hours, NO FOOD WHATSOEVER. NONE. I am so hungry I just want to leave.
Staff was great. ICU waiting room has microwavable items but no microwave to heat it up that's discouraging, they do allow you to bring food & drink in though.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
