Dr. Rubio is 2 1/2 hours away from where I live but well worth the drive! Very thorough with examine and attentive to my issues. I have had 3 different Rheumatologist in the past 20 years that all retired. Dr. Rubio is the best!

Terrible experience. First visit Dr Rubio spent minutes with me. Didn't want to hear my background for the issue I had. Gave me some meds. Started on the meds & they didn't work. I was still having the same problems. Second visit was five minutes tops. Nothing was accomplished. Still had problems with the medication so called three times to make an appointment & three times the receptionist or nurse would take a message assuring me they'd talk to the doctor & give me a call back. NEVER WAS ABLE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AGAIN! Received a call from the nurse that the doctor's response to my concerns was to wean me off the medication. I asked what was going to be done next. . .the answer was NOTHING! Really? I went to this doctor for help & he treated me like I didn't matter!! I was never able not make an appointment after the first two!!! They could care less about an individual's health concerns or conditions! I guess he took God's job of deciding who he helps!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!

My daughter has RA. You will never find a more caring doctor. He goes way beyond what most doctors do for their patients. His staff is the best. You will never find a better doctor.

First time seeing this doctor was today.Asked me questions,then would interrupt me when i tried to answer them.Never even looked at my paper work.Was told that i have fibro ,which i was already told that by my family doctor over ten years ago.When i realized that he was not going to listen to my concerns and symptoms at all.I become very emotional.The way i was just written off like i didnt matter at all.That is what upset me.I know that i am overweight.I did not need him to point that out to me.I know i need to exercise.I am not stupid.But the manner in which i was treated was very unprofessional.He gave me a very fast look over.And that was it.The only test he ordered was x rays of my hands.Because i am always negative for the rf factor.And had recently had blood work done.He did not order any additional blood work. My hands are the least of my issues.I have chronic daily pain.That has became very aggressive the last year or so.He just wrote it all off to fibro.Would not recommend.

Dismissal of patient due to age and perceived gender. Refused to do testing, and made a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia with less than 2 minutes of actual examination. Refused to show compassion toward daily chronic pain with genetic link. Made no treatment plan and told patient to learn to cope with crippling and debilitating pain. Also told patient to seek a second opinion, rather than ever come back and see him, when further evidence toward a different diagnosis is discovered. So if you are under 30, and female-presenting, be prepared to hear that you are essentially hysterical and wasting this doctor's time. 10/10 do not recommend.

I have been disappointed by Dr. Rubio. I waited a long time to see him. A male friend of mine gets fine care from him. I did not. I havep fibromyalgia..severe. osteoarthritis in my hands and Si joints, and 5 discs herniated in a car wreck 18 months ago when we were rear-ended in Dallas. I manage my pain and still work part time. Rubio doesn't seem to understand the nature of the fibro as revealed by questions about " last time your pain was on the left. Now it's on the right" and he laughed, was condescending, bordering on downright patronizing, and did not even listen to chest sounds even though I have a history of pneumonia. He ran basic labs, just CBC, etc.and charged me $1595 for the first visit. Outrageous.

He was very rude, abrasive and lost his temper with me on my first visit. I will never have anything to do with him again. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ????

Dr. Rubio's staff is rude on the phone and at appointments. When called they say how busy they are. They deny receiving messages left on the phone. Dr. Rubio himself does not follow-up with issues and denies receiving messages.

He listens, he finds what is best for you. Dr. Rubio does Not have the almighty complex that a lot of doctors have, great personality, very professional.

When you find a Dr. who loves getting positive result, that takes time to listen, he is worthy of your time. To me Dr Rubio is that Dr.
