List of David Black's Reviews
Dr. Black was very thorough and addressed all my concerns. Highly recommend.
Upon my initial visit Dr. Black promised me he'd get my cubital tunnel syndrome under control. I was so relieved, and after surgery he sent me to a wonderful therapist. Fast forward two months and I still have extreme radiating pain coming from my shoulder into my elbow. I assume this is nerve pain, and I told Dr. Black this. He decided to argue that it probably isn't nerve pain and that my occupational therapist is "putting ideas in my head" about what type of pain I'm experiencing. I made it clear that I don't care, I just want relief... but he then decided that it was more important to make sure I understand that I am wrong. He thinks gabapentin is the answer (in the previous visit we already established that gabapentin isn't the answer and that I don't want pills). Not only did he want to argue with me about the "type" of pain I was feeling, but expressed his disdain for the therapist I'm seeing, as if I was to blame for that as well. HE RECOMMENDED HER! Then instead of even examining my shoulder he decided that a pill should fix it. Unprofessional, unethical, and AWFUL bedside manner. Needless to say, this is my last horrible experience with OrthoArkansas. I'll be getting a second opinion and I can't wait to update this review.
Tried 2 do a review not a good one they kicked it out go figure still in pain. Get 2nd opinion from another Dr. Not associated with him. My surgery was a lie not necessary. I hurt worst n all he wants me 2 do is go spend unnecessary money I can't afford in therapy. Said I waited a long time I was trying some of everything. Need a steroid shot he flat refused cant make more money with that. And none of them in that office (Dr's) seem 2 know how 2 give it in the wrist where it goes. He said it would only last 45 minutes that's ridiculous.
This was my second time seeing Dr Black. He was very thorough and explained everything to me. Absolutely one of the nicest people I’ve met. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone in need .
Very attentive and caring! Wonderful explanations and information! Listened about a non related issue that i wasn't even aware there was a solution and was able to take care of that too! Made me feel it was as important to him as it was to me to take care of the pain i was having by diagnosing cause and providing treatment! Clinic so clean and fresh smelling! Very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend!
Dr Black is an excellent choice for your problems with your hands. He is knowledgeable and professional. He jumps right in to begin a course of action. I got some relief at the first appt. The rest of staff are friendly and time efficent.
Dr. Black was wonderful. He listened to me and offered a plan A and a plan B. The only complaint I have is having to wait in the exam room almost a hour before the doctor came in. Don’t schedule my appointment for 1:30 if the doctor isn’t available until 2:20
Very helpful and thorough folks!
Dr. Black is awesome, extremely articulate with description of the issue with my hands and options for procedures. He answered every question I had and helped me to be extremely comfortable with the decision I made. I will highly recommend Dr. Black and Ortho Arkansas.
I liked outside check in and a waiting area that wasn’t crowed My visit went smoothly. Dr Black answered my questions thoroughly. He did a good exam of my hand and I am comfortable with his advice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
