This man constantly makes comments about my weight and the weight of my other family member that comes here. She has a pretty normal BMI, so I guess he just hates anyone who isn't thin. It's gotten to the point of harassment during our visits. I've decided to start screen recording all of them from now on to file a complaint with the medical board.
Dr. McElreath has been a wonderful doctor for me. He actually listens and asks lots of questions. It feels like we are partnering together to find out what is wrong with me. His prompt reporting is always wonderful. He is very bright but not intimidating. I feel I am lucky to have him as my GI guy!

My cousin posted a minute ago about this issue. I have an ALMOST normal BMI with severe GI symptoms, but this man literally won't focus on the information you are telling him. He comes in the room with an idea of what you are going to say and he won't listen. He was so nice when he worked for LRDC, but he has changed. Maybe it's the pressure of his new practice or something. Unless you are thin and perfect like the people in his life (pictures of his family are in exam rooms), he won't see you. You will have no voice with him.
Referred 1 month ago and they still say they are reviewing to see when I need to come in. Say it will be 1-2 days and that was over a week ago. Still no call for appointment. Will go elsewhere.
Excellent doctor and straightforward with advice based on diagnosis. My favorite aspect of him is that he’s friendly and personable. Keys to being a great physician in my book.
I praise DR. McElreath for finding the Adenocarcinoma of the stomac(s/p resection and chemo): 151.9 - C16.9 Thank you Jesus and Dr. McElreath, Dr. Engstrom and Dr. Harrington!
I gave Dr. Mcelreath a deadline to diagnose me (I had a European cruise planned). He promised me he would figure out what was wrong. I have a rare disorder that he now has me on medications for and I will make my cruise! He actually cares. He gave me his personal cell phone, so I could contact him, if need be. Would highly recommend him!
I recently became a patient of Dr. David McElreath. Can’t say enough about him! He takes time to listen, follows up personally, worked me into his full schedule for a colonoscopy, called me from his office on a Sunday morning to give me results and called my prescription into a pharmacy later in the morning after the pharmacy opened. He also provided a cell number so I could reach him personally If I had any worsening issues between the office visit and the colonoscopy a few days later!Amazing!
He is the best! He is concerned with your problem, he listens and fixes the problem like no other doctor has!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
