After several years of rectal bleeding, and following the removal of a polyp from my colon, I returned to LR VAMC for a colonoscopy. This young doctor actually asked me about my family history. He took 15 minutes to listen as I revealed that my father and aunt had died of stomach cancer. He ordered an endoscopic exam and found the ulcer that had caused the bleeding. The ulcer was removed, and with medication, I have no further bleeding. Thank you, Dr. Patel.

This young man is a great doctor. He is caring, compassionate with a desire to help. He sits with you & talks with you not at you.He does not have the King syndrom as many doctors tend to develope. He is sharp as razor.
