I ve said it before and I ll say it again, Dr. Youngblood is the BEST! I trust him and his knowledge with every bone in my body!

I am deeply disturbed after we left the Drs office at an appointment for our daughter with Dr Youngblood. From the initial moment he walked in the door, he spouted his opinions about another Children s Hospital that has just opened in the area, stating how their computer system is flawed, how maybe in 10-20 years they will be a good hospital. This had absolutely NOTHING To do with the care of our child, and he also brought up how since republicans took over the healthcare funding got messed up, AGAIN with a topic like politics which have absolutely no place in the care of our child, also his viewpoint was offensive to us. He mentioned specifically how millions of dollars of tax money needed to be donated to fund the children s hospital. When he finally started to discuss the matter we made the appointment for our daughter about, he d been ignoring her the whole time when he when was on his tangent, name dropping how he went to events with the CEO of Mercy and Arkansas Childrens Hospital, conversation we had absolutely no desire to be a part of. We were concerned that our 5 year old daughter had a UTI, and he quickly said her urine test came back normal, then he listened to her lungs and felt her tummy. After he was done with this he leaned close to her and whispered in her ear I m gonna have to look at your bottom which she immediately responded in absolute terror to. I as the mother was NEVER consulted or given the reason he needed to do this, and the manner in which he gave her this scary news was all wrong. No man has ever looked at her privates and we have taught her to protect her body and that she is in control of what happens to her body. This was absolutely not the case and the doctor said nothing to me about it beforehand, also did not bring in a female nurse to help my daughter feel comfortable with the situation at all. My daughter was screaming and crying about how she was so scared and absolutely did not want it to happen, Dr Youngblood looked at her and said I know you don t want it to, but This IS going to happen during this time I was trying to comfort my daughter and Dr Youngblood told my husband how his nieces expose themselves without hesitation, again very inappropriate information to be sharing, he then told me to hold her on my lap while he forcefully pushed her legs back, exposing her vagina and anus, all while she was screaming and crying in protest saying No don t do it, stop . He then proceeded to talk about the possibility of pinworms and trying to give a lesson on how to wipe after urination, but at this point I had no interest in anything he had to say. All I could focus on was my daughter sobbing into my chest, and she hid her face in her blanket, and it felt like she had totally been violated. When I ve gone to the Dr with UTI symptoms myself as a grown woman, they ve checked my urine only - and if a physical exam was needed a female would have performed or at least been present for the examination and I would NEVER allow myself to be forced to expose myself in the manner which happened to my daughter. He then told us pinworms would be present 2 hours after she goes to sleep, if she has them at all, not in the middle of the day, so he didn t even see anything and seemed he was making a guess, leaving us to wonder why he had to look at all? I ve never felt my trust so violated by a Doctor, and not only will I never ever be going to this office again - I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Dr Youngblood. His bragadocious, political agenda pushing, forceful, inappropriate behavior is absolutely unacceptable and I will never take my daughter to him again.

Best doctor I could have picked for my daughter!

Dr. Youngblood is the pediatrician of my 1 year old and I think he's excellent. The guy is a bank of knowledge; I feel as if I learn something new every time we visit him. He's been nothing but friendly, courteous, and each appointment we've seen him in a timely manner. He takes time to discuss my daughter's growth and development and always addresses any concerns/questions I have thoroughly. He likes to focus a lot on evolutionary patterns in human physiology and behavior, which I realize may not be for everyone, but I find it quite interesting.

Dr Youngblood is great, takes a long time to get a appointment with him and is always running behind but it's always worth the wait!

Dr Youngblood is very knowledgeable and professional. I never feel like he is rushing me. He is caring. The staff is wonderful!

He is a good doctor and his staff is wonderful. He's very smart, accurate and pleasant. He doesn't play any of the games with the child that some pedi's do, which I wished he would. He was more interested in speaking to the parent than to comforting the child, which made me annoyed at first. BUT, he makes up for that small gripe with his professionalism and accuracy. The receptionists are friendly, the nurse is a complete delight and the woman who checks patients out always remembered us, and my son's favorite toys, from her toy arsenal. ;) (A handy thing when mom is trying to settle the bill and not able to pay full attention to him!) Dr. Youngblood remembered details about our family and situation, which was very impressive to me--even months later! He accurately diagnosed my son and made a referral when it was necessary, even calling to get us in quickly. We stopped seeing this practice because we moved, but we still appreciate how helpful they were. I would definitely recommend Dr. Youngblood to a friend.
