John Schnorr's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Schorr and his staff are so professional and the best in the business. We will always be eternally grateful for all Dr. Schnorr did for us the entire way through the process including the wonderful support from his staff. My nurse, Jessica, was the best! The process does work, you just have to trust it as they say. We have a healthy and beautiful baby girl.

Dr. Schnorr is completely 100% unprofessional! He accused us of being in the wrong for questioning why we had been waiting over 30 minutes past our appointment time. Mind you this is the first time we have met him, the day of an IUI. He says he wants everyone to be comfortable yet he cannot help but be a hypocrite and make us extremely uncomfortable. He added stress to a big and already stressful day. No issues with the procedure or his explanations. However, I would greatly recommend any of the others doctors in the clinic over him due to his unprofessional and off putting nature.

Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate of patients! Dr. Schnorr complained about us complaining about being kept in the dark for nearly an hour past our appointment time! Added stress himself to an already stressful situation. First time being introduced to him was the day of a procedure. Unless you want added stress and being made to feel like you’re wrong, stay away!! His clinic is full of generally friendly people but they cannot keep appointment times and lack communication skills to let patients know.

Dr. Schnorr is the best doctor I have ever had. Even thought I'm pregnant, I'm sad to be graduating to my OBGYN for care. He was very friendly and personable willing to answer our questions at any time. He listened to our every concern and explained our situation with sensitivity and acted like we were the only people he would see that day. We will be forever grateful for what he has done to help us have a family!

IF YOU HAVE ENDOMETRIOSIS—OR THINK YOU COULD HAVE IT—PLEASE READ THIS! In case you don’t know, Dr. Scnhorr is a fertility specialist and professor for M-USC. My wife has battled endometriosis for 5 years and has had two surgeries in an attempt to treat it. Yet her problems persisted. We were referred to Dr. Schnorr by another doctor because he was supposed to be "the authority" on the disease. After seeing several specialists with no resolution, we were looking forward to our appointment with Dr. Schnorr, hoping he would be able to help. When we went into his office, Dr. Schnorr was accompanied by a resident doctor who was sitting in to observe. He started the meeting by going over the details of the female reproductive system and explaining how a woman gets pregnant. After allowing him to go on for a few minutes, my wife explained that we weren’t there because we were trying to get pregnant. He looked surprised and said, “I’m sorry, can you tell me why you’re here?” When we scheduled the appointment with him a month earlier, we forwarded my wife’s medical records to Dr. Schnorr for his review prior to our appointment and explained why we were coming to see him. Apparently, he didn't have time to review them. Once he did realize the purpose for our visit, he admitted that he did not consider himself to be an expert on endometriosis. I stated earlier that Dr. Schnorr had a resident doctor in the room with him during our appointment. Though I can’t prove it, I will attribute what happened next to Dr. Schnorr’s ego as he attempted to "save face" in front of this resident doctor. Rather than giving us some direction or referring us to a specialist in endometriosis, he instead asserted that my wife’s problem was IBS or perhaps even in her head. This was his diagnosis after doing absolutely NOTHING to draw that conclusion. The problem with that diagnosis is that the doctor that referred us to Dr. Schnorr—as well as two other doctors—explained that endo cells can exist in the body despite having a hysterectomy. We didn’t tell Dr. Schnorr this during the appointment and he never mentioned it. We also didn't mention that my wife had already seen a GI specialist who had ruled out digestive issues. Of course, he would have known all of that had he reviewed the medical records we sent a couple of weeks earlier. We didn’t really have a chance to say much at that point because he got frustrated with our questions and the entire meeting became uncomfortable as he rushed to end it. Prior to this appointment, we had consulted with no fewer than 5 doctors. Each one of them had no problem referring us to someone else or advising another route when they ran out of answers. I think this man is probably a great fertility specialist. But when it comes to endometriosis, you’d probably get better medical advice from Google. On a personal level, he came across as pompous and condescending. We finally found someone who could help us and now my wife is almost 100%. Endometriosis is sometimes difficult to diagnose and treat. It requires a little more effort and the standard "check-the-boxes" approach many doctors take isn't enough. So, if you're battling it right now, keep looking until you find a doctor who can help you.

Dr. Schnorr and Jessica are amazing!! It's so nice to go to a Dr. office and be treated like an actual person not a number!

I had unsuccessful treatment with another doctor and was amazed by Dr. Schnorr and his staff. Dr. Schnorr felt that by using more medications he could make the eggs stronger and could still prevent me from getting sick from the medications. He was right. I am now pregnant with a one embryo transfer and have 9 embryos frozen! He's amazing.
