Dr Houston was a blessing to me the night I walked into Mesa View Hospital with multiple, painful & unknown issues. He was quick & complete in his diagnosis & immediately started treatment & to manage my agonizing pain! My condition was serious & he fully explained everything to me, including, a diagram from a medical book, to show me why my condition was so painful. After he stabilized me enough to release me to go home, he prescribed continuing medications to further heal my issues & instructed me to consult a primary care Dr. for further treatment. Dr Houston IS a Saint! He never talked down to me or treated me as a whining Senior Citizen. Which is what I’ve experienced from seeing another Doctor afterwards. One that actually told me I was just “tense & anxious” & he didn’t see any evidence of my condition”. God blessed me when I didn’t run into that guy that night in the ER!! But got Dr Houston!

Passed out w/ head & clavicle/shoulder injury in an IN-Network Provider Hospital-Dr. Houston was attending physician and charged me Out of Network which is more than 4 Times $... I want to pay, but not this outrageous charge... I've called and attempted to settle for over a year. I've made numerous attempts My insurance agrees this is outrageous. The Dr would rather keep trying to collect their outrageous fee than charge what is appropriate. Held captive in the ER. Don't recall seeing him.

Dr Houston us an emergency room doctor...I found him to be very thorough....he confirmed my symptoms , treated my symptoms......ran the necessary tests.....gave me his diagnosis......when I was feeling better and was out of harms way......he discharged me and told me to see my primary doctor for follow up......I believe that is what he is supposed to do...... i found him to be very competent and caring.

Dr. Houston was not familiar with the condition I came to the ER for. He did not treat me at all but tried to steer me to one of his colleagues for follow up. I had my own internist and didn't need a referral.
