This “doctor” canceled my appointment two days before my colonoscopy due to their miscommunication on which tests I needed, as well as him overstepping my doctor who said I needed the colonoscopy. Said I’m “too young” to have that procedure, when colon cancer has been becoming an issue for people under 35. My first doctor who ordered the test said it would be necessary due to my symptoms as well as a history in my family of colon cancer. I tried to tell this to Chard, and he did not want to listen in any capacity and kept repeating himself. It got so bad I just hung up and stopped answering his calls back.

Dr Chard has been taking care of me for about 12 years now. He personal and is very professional. He explains what he is going to do and how he is going to do it. Although I have treatments every year, he has actually sent me to another doctor when he thought it would be better for me to get an expert. I trust him to do the right thing at the right time.

Let's be honest--no one wants to have a colonoscopy! But if you must do it, then Dr. Chard and the East Bay Endosurgery Center is the place to go. The entire process--from making the appointment, to prep, to finishing the procedure--was easy and completely painless. The entire staff is friendly, caring and very professional. I would recommend EBEC without hesitation.

To whom it may concern: Let me tell you about my recent experience with Dr.Chard. I have noticed some blood in my stool so I asked for a visit. I got one. It was cancelled. I got another appointment which was also cancelled. The third appointment was also cancelled. Since there was no phone record of the cancellitaion ( 2/25/19 ) I visited his office in Oakland. I was told the doctor went to a conference. Dr. Chard has an outstanding reputation but I must say I was let down. Big time.
