List of Dr Melanie Ortleb's Reviews
Excellent dermatologist!! I've only been there a couple of times but was very pleased with the outcome. Had several lumps removed from the top of my head. Great follow up.
I see Katie Brock at MOD Dermatology! My eye brows are always on point because of her! She does amazing work! I wouldn't go anywhere else
Dr. Ortleb is a wonderful and compassionate dermatologist. I have always felt like other dermatologists rush you through, don’t explain anything, and don’t care. I highly recommend Dr. Ortleb and will continue to see her.
BEST IN OMAHA! I have been seeing a dermatologist since my teenage years. I have never come across a more thorough, competent and genuine provider. She goes above and beyond at every visit. I will never go to another dermatologist. She is the real deal!
Best experience I have ever had with a dermatologist and I have seen many of them in Omaha.
Don't go anywhere else or you might regret it. MOD THE BEST NICEST PEOPLE IN THE BUSINESS ANYWHERE.
There are not enough characters on a Google Review to describe how amazing Dr. Ortleb and her staff truly are. Melanie is a one of a kind physician who truly goes over and beyond for her patients. She is brilliant, thoughtful and always motivated to help. Katie Brock, her aesthetician is also outstanding. This clinic is the best of the best and I would never go anywhere else.
Well I guess this is what nationalized medicine will look like if this country continues down the road we are on. I have whiplash from the frenetic pace in that office. This was not a good first time experience with a new doctor, wish I had checked reviews before becoming a patient there. Rude, dismissive front office employees, sloppy nurses and a tornado of a doctor. They all act like they are miserable. Doctor talks in circles, maybe because she doesn’t know what she’s doing, not sure. No way they are properly treating patients in that chop shop.
My entire family has been with Dr. Ortleb since she opened her new practice. We have seen the care go downhill over the last couple of years. It started out great, she was very attentive, she had an excellent staff and patients felt like they were important. Now patients are just a dollar bill to this doctor. Staff is aggressive, they lie to the patients, they are rude when you walk in the door or you call the office, the doctor literally gives you maybe 5 to 10 minutes and turns around and charges 350+ dollars for a visit. You spend more time with an intake nurse then you do with the doctor. Dr. O is always running late, there’s no way she’s reading the notes taken by the intake nurse prior to your visit… She’s constantly harried and can’t possibly have time to provide any care to her patients. She bounces into the exam room quickly, speaks in a rushed manner, doesn’t listen to your concerns or questions, makes a snap diagnosis - and is in and out within five minutes. My husband recently saw her and quickly realized that she was way off base… next day, Visited another dermatologist, and got a completely different diagnosis after a proper examination. There has been tremendous staff turnover in this office the last couple of years. I don’t think this is a surprise to any of the longtime patients, considering how patient care is handled now. My family of five has moved on, my sister-in-law and her entire family (7 people) moved on last year, and in speaking with a staff member who recently quit, we understand this practice has deteriorated quickly. Very sad, Dr. Ortleb had great potential.
I have gone to Dr. Ortlieb since she opened her practice. I used to really look forward to the friendly atmosphere and even stopped in each year to drop off an office Christmas gift; that is how much I thought of this office. The past two years has been a totally different experience. The front office staff is aggressive, obnoxious, and toxic. Once you get into the exam room, Dr. Ortlieb, Pam and Sarah are nice and fun to visit with, but the toxic office staff leaves you wondering why you are paying someone to treat you like they are doing you a favor by you being there. I have always paid on time, been timely to appointments, and done as I was told but it now appears that loyalty and consistency only goes one way. I have a Chiropractor, a Hematologist, A Pulmonolgist, a General Practitioner, a Nurse Practitioner, a Dentist, An Acupuncture Doctor, and a Cardiologist, and every single office; both staff and doctors have told me at one time or the other that they appreciate my business and that they appreciate me as a kind and generous person. You will never be treated like you matter or that you are valued at this office. The other reviews show a sharp downturn in how customers are treated; since 2018, and I concur. I get the feeling that this is now an office for the wanna be beautiful people, so if you are over age 55 (male or female), a loyal patient/customer, and are expecting a warm and welcoming environment, I would highly suggest you go elsewhere. It is really sad when you have built a relationship with someone from the ground up only to realize that your business and loyalty has been wasted. Makes me very sad as I have spent the past eight years driving an hour + to come to an office that treats me like they hate me. Shame on me for being so stupid.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
