List of Ohsu Health Ids's Reviews
I would give a zero star review if that were possible. They do not care at all for the health, safety or well being of their expectant mothers. While OHSU may seem like a reputable teaching hospital, they are just too busy to provide good quality in-person care. Something that should have been caught on any of my routine ultrasound exams was missed due to their negligence and caused serious complications during my delivery. Please consider the risks you place yourself and your child in by using OHSU services and select a different hospital for your prenatal care and delivery.Outside of concerns for your safety, expect no flexibility with scheduling, no consistency with staff you interact with and a minimum of 15 minute call waiting time before you can reach a person. I would echo many of the previous comments that the staff is rude and heartless and could care less about their patients.
My care at OHSU has been wonderful. Elizabeth Yiu and the nurse that works with her, Lexi, are always so warm and inviting. I also had an appointment with Dr. Norris for one visit and he was also wonderful. They take time to listen and always treat me with kindness. I’ve had a high risk pregnancy and the care has been excellent. I am very grateful for the care I have received. My only concern with the clinic is phone hold times are often quite long, but the pros vastly outweigh this.
After being physically abused, neglected & assaulted by the many medical professionals of Portland, Oregon & 14 pregnancy losses/abortions without my consent or knowledge resulting from the darkness that resides in these "professionals"I think that I may have finally found a place that will actually help me. They are focused on my care as a human of color & I'm grateful for them seeing me & seeing me as human. No one is perfect for sure, but atleast I know my current care team listens to me, won't beat on me and best of all I feel safe there. That's one of the biggest wins for me & my family.Even though I don't exactly see eye-to-eye with my current Doctors supervisor Dr. Jorda, I still have faith that Dr. A. Cathcart will help me to finally hold a healthy baby in my arms instead of the shooter marble like babies/fetuses I'd been witnessing in my experience since moving to Portland. I legit feel safe with Dr. A. Cathcart & there's really nothing much that can change that. I know I haven't had a baby yet but thank you for being there and willing to help save my future pregnancies. Thank you🙏🏿💕💫
unkind, uncaring and unsupportive staff. come here if you want all your concerns to be invalidated. told the intense pain i’ve dealt with over half a decade was because i washed too much in the shower
They never ever answer the phone.
I'm not sure why all the negative reviews. Wonderful staff and overall a good experience. I felt the staff was very caring and very accommodating. I'm not sure what medical assistant I saw today but the dr I'm seeing is jessica Reid, I did meet her and spend time talking with her but the medical assistant i felt really went above and beyond to tell me everything i needed to know or be concerned about. I felt very comfortable and would come again if I lived in the area. My PCP referred me here and I'm so glad she sid. All the negative reviews were scary to read but I'd ignore them if I were you, reading them and considering an appointment- do it. Very helpful, friendly, caring.
I have received the worst possible care at the clinic and would recommend anyone considering coming here to go the literally any other place. First and foremost, you wait 3-6 months between appointments because they are so booked up that these are the earliest possible slots. Second of all, almost without fail, I’ll get a call a week or so before every scheduled appointment needing to reschedule for 1-2 months later because of “scheduling issues.”The other primary piece of this awful care has been their specialist, Amy Stenson. If you look up other reviews of her, you’ll see huge numbers of complaints and one star reviews. She does not use trauma informed care practices at all, does not use progressive touch, and is extremely non-empathetic. She dismisses chronic illnesses as “not that bad” or claims they’re psychosomatic regardless of admittance that there are physiological issues happening, and will gaslight you about everything related to pain. She also provides almost no diagnostic care or actual medical advice, and instead recommends lidocaine and time or letting go of the idea that you need medical care (she has told me verbatim “we don’t know why any illnesses happen, so you can expect many answers about anything).I have had multiple appointments now where I am sobbing because of anxiety and pain, and she has been nothing but unhelpful and very unkind with her words and communication style. She will be late to the appointment and will leave abruptly after 15 minutes for her next appointment. If you have a chronic illness issue, a pain issue, any acute needs, or a history of trauma, this is absolutely not the place for you. I urge you to look at other reviews of her care as they are all very accurate regarding her callousness and poor/somewhat traumatizing bedside manner. She is the only specialist you can see at the moment, so you’re stuck with her as well.
I’ve worked in healthcare myself for 6 years now. The Vuvlar specialty department gives terrible care to patients suffering from this disorder. Do not recommend. They do not listen, they do not heal, and they do not understand the chronic exhaustion, anxiety, and pain people with unprovoked vulvodynia go through. The are very in incompassionate . The are cold and unforgiving. Leaving both of my appointments hopeless, judged, and in tears.
Condescending, rude, and unhelp front desk staff
HEARTLESS AND RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
