I got LASIK here in September 2020. The procedure went well and was a success. My issue is that, in addition to the LASIK operation cost, I was changed for the tests beforehand. I wouldn't have minded except that I was led to believed that pre-surgical tests were include in the cost of the surgery. Beware additional charges!

I have gone here for years for a variety of different issues with my eyes. I have seen several different providers, and all have been amazing. As a teaching hospital, there is a lot of focus on patient care, and providing proper care. I recommend this group for all issues. From basic appts, to explore testing, and surgery.

I’ve been coming to both locations at OHSU for the past thirty years (since I was three months old) due to being a preemie and having cryotherapy eye surgery on both eyes in order to stop my retinas from detaching, the surgery was only successful in one eye (better one than none! 🤓) I can’t appreciate enough how quickly they’ve been able to get me in for any eye emergencies I’ve had over the past thirty years, including the most recent which was two weeks ago. Thank you Dr Calcano for taking such good care of my eyes during birth to teen years! Thank you Dr. Stout for having been such a wonderful Dr. for the majority of my life! Thank you Dr. Scruggs and Dr. Linn for being extremely observant and very thorough during my most recent visits! Shout out to Dr Simonett too! Very happy to start being followed by Dr. Linn as Dr. Stout has since retired! Love the retina and cataract department so much! ❤️👁 Truly amazing doctors here in my thirty years I’ve been coming to OHSU! Also Lulu in the optical shop is super sweet and really knows her stuff! 😊

You’re just another number here. In the beginning I thought Dr. Bailey cared and then I switched Doctors and I am learning new things about my eyes I wish I’d known in the beginning. I’d recommend seeing someone who actually cares.

Casey Eye Institute billed us for services that they didn't do. We attempted to dispute the charges. After being passed around to various people in the accounting and customer service department, none of which could explain what the charges were for, they ultimately refused to resolve the problem.

This is the best eye care I've ever received, and the best eye place I know of.

Staff and providers are good. But there is a huge lack of communication. I was told a procedure would be covered by insurance. It was, but it left me with over a $600 bill. They did not inform me of this prior. Afterwards they would not even talk to me to discuss it. I love OHSU, but Casey Eye Institute will rip you off.
