I’m really, really sorry the prior woman had the experience she did, but people should know this clinic isn’t a mental health hospital like Unity and it’s just a normal psychiatry/med management clinic now. The appointments I’ve had with 3 different providers have lasted no more than an hour and 15 minutes. This is one of the only competent parts of OHSU that I’ve worked with. Both the residents and faculty are incredibly knowledgeable and when they don’t know something, go to another peer to brainstorm instead of either giving up or bs-ing you. Even the front office and scheduling people are super kind. The first resident I work with sadly moved on to a different location, but was so personable and would not leave me without an answer even one time. Many doctors act in the most disgusting manner when patients may become frustrated or discouraged (because they’re, well, patients), and he was constantly patient and understanding. Dr. D’Souza is a brilliant, brilliant woman and does the same. She’s inquisitive but not in an aggressive or condescending manner, and never makes the appointment just about med management but life skills as well. Not to mention both of them were/are responsive. Dr. Nagarkatti-Gude has such a high level of knowledge and intelligence that’s invaluable to how I was re-diagnosed and treated. I would highly, highly recommend this clinic for medication management and diagnostic purposes.

I was admitted here about 8yrs ago from which I suffer systemic trauma to this day. I was locked in a dark room with no light for a very, very long time....given drugs by large needels against my will and foced to use to ground as the bathroom. Very inhumane practices happening here. I honestly have no idea how they are still running.
