I could not rate Amir El-Shafei higher. He uses advanced procedures not employed by other cardiologists in NW Arkansas. Trained at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Dr. El-Shafei has brought his advanced training to those of us in NW Arkansas. I recently received an angioplasty from Dr. El-Shafei for a heart procedure, which was done in an accomplished manner. Days later, I removed the patch over my groin entry point, and there was no blood, or bruising. I will let you figure that out for yourself. Dr. El-Shafei is an outstanding cardiologist, who I have no difficulty trusting my life to. By best to each of you going forward!

I am a terminally ill wheelchair bound patient who was referred to this doctor for fluctuations in my blood pressure. This doctor didn’t ask me about any of my past history or why I am in a wheelchair, he only argued that my blood pressure is due to high salt in my diet. I eat a very healthy diet and do not eat out so I knew this is not the case. He didn’t address my past issues of heart mummur, leaking valve, and constant chest pain and numbness on my left side. He performed no tests on me whatsoever to figure out what is causing my fluctuations and causing me to feel so sick.. only that it might be salt. This is not a doctor.. it was a big waste of time (we waited a long time) and my very limited energy

A El-Shafei has been my Cardiologist for 10 plus years. He listens, he cares He is a outstanding honest doctor. He never has talked down or make you feel like a little kid. He has a very calming and competent presence. He's my best friend! He saved my life. Speaks very good English just listen carefully and you will be reassure. Has no problem what-so-ever in explaining things so you so you do understand. No rushing you either and always has time for you.

My fiancé went into cardiac arrest on September 20th, 2018. Dr. El-Shafei and the staff at Mercy were absolutly lovely to work with and they no doubt provided him with the best care possible. They are the reason he is alive and funtioning normally again, and I praise the Lord for all of them.

He saved my life when others were measuring me for the box! He had confidence and belief that I would make it. His insight and action when all others questioned themselves and faltered kept me going. He is Kind, caring , brilliant and soft spoken. He takes his time to listen and offers his years of training's solid advise. In turn, I have put my life in his and God's hands take his medical advise seriously and of course changed my life style because that is our responsibility folks.
