I called 3 times today trying to speak to someone about the lymph node infection I have. The infection is not cleared and I am on day 6 of 7 in my abx therapy. I was concerned about getting more antibiotics or possibly seeing my PCP before the holidays. I started calling around 9am today, and did miss a call back around 12:40pm. I called back so quickly that a voicemail was being left on my phone while I returned the call, but was not able to speak with Andrea who left me a voicemail. Then I never received another call back after calling twice with urgency. So either there was miscommunication with the health care team about my situation, or I was blatantly disregarded. I run out of abx tomorrow, and the infection is not cleared. I will not be able to be seen at this location again until Tuesday the 29th, and I’m working 13 hour shifts this weekend and during the holiday.

I saw Dr Hensen once, referred by my primary care doctor. I found him to be personable, very easy to chat with, thorough in his questioning of my particular issue. I felt relaxed and confident that I was in caring, competent hands. Literally.
