Jordan Valley Community Health Center's Online Review Report Card

We are poor.  We had a mental health crisis. They saw us relatively quickly.  Despite my partners mania and outbreaks, they stayed with us thru the intake process. They did not want to give us meds we did not want, which feels wise, but they n the end they prescribed them.  They were respectful and professional but also friendly and empathetic.  The prices were very reasonable. They helped us fill out both the disability forms and the social security forms.  Look perhaps if you are well in off you can get fancier care. But if you have need of low cost quality health care esp behavioral medicine you can not do better than Jordan Valley.

Drive to Springfield.Ive been waiting 30 minutes, and other people have gone back.... Who came in after me.....

I was attacked by different members of Staff of Jordan Valley a nurse practitioner and a caseworker and then somehow I wound up in a situation where I was supposed to be fired from Jordan Valley Behavioral Health. But instead of them firing firmly in writing whenever this erroneous which way should have came up they wanted me to come in personally and meet with the main psychiatrist and I was not aware that I was going to be ambushed so when I eventually went back in against my better judgement to see what was going on I was treated in the most positive way Manor with a security officer presents for his protection. The nurse practitioner attacked me because I had my phone in my hand and she didnt feel like I was paying attention and then the case worker attacked me because I was wanting to take an emergency phone call while I was in a meeting with him and I explained to him that it was an emergency and he didnt care!

I had been in services at Jordan valley for the past few years and it truly has been on thing after another but Ive always tried to make things work and hope things would get better but the past month being there has been a absolute nightmare my wife and I went in to our pain management appointment and got bullied in changing our meds and we had both told them the other meds we were on and what we couldnt take and when we tried to fill mine my insurance wouldnt pay for it and they said that they would immediately do a prn and get it taken care of and we filled my wifes meds cause she has no insurance yet so we paid cash well after waiting a week I called back to see how thing were going and caught the nurse in two different lies and so I called her on it and she got rude and started back peddling real quick and about that time my wife was having serious issues with her meds and I called up there about that and to see what they were doing on mine and got much more crap back from the nurse pretty much saying that we had to be on this stuff for a month minimum and after a few days I did get a call back from the nurse saying that my insurance still wouldnt pay from the meds unless it had naloxone in it and I pretty much told her that the research we had done that would clash with our other meds even more than the other and that we were not addicts and had no need to be on that crap and the easiest thing to do is just put me and my wife back on our other meds and to consult with our psych doctor and that way if that was ok everyone would be on the same page and she said she would call me back well after hearing nothing for a week and a half I called and tried to have my other pills refilled if that what my doc wanted to do and finally received a call back later in the day stating that I was taken off that med so the couldnt fill it and I ask them what I was supposed to do sense my insurance wouldnt pay for the other what was she going to do just let me tank off my pain meds and she no more cared than the man in the moon and made the excuse that I was getting loud and she was getting off the phone well no one ever called me back so my wife called up the and the office manager told her that the were ending services with me and that all my appointments were cancelled and that I cant see any of my other doctors witch there were four total cause even my PCP was there and they are letting me tank off all my meds and they dont care they even tried to can my wife and screwed all her appointments up because one of there receptionist jerks and one other doc lied about something they charted that she didnt do or say luckily she got that straightened out but the are still firing me and have sense fired the doc that started this mess but they want me gone because I called them out on this crap so I told my wife if thats the game they want to play fine because me tanking off my meds is going to land me in the ER and they dont care can anyone say lawyer

Me and my brother have basically been waiting 2 years for our wisdom teeth removal surgery the lady receptionist to come call us in and take notes was being really rude to my mom because she was trying to say we would have to reschedule because no one told us that we couldnt have a sip of water before surgery and she was waving her hands in my moms face talking to her like she was dumb, her name was shelly b or something like that and then after she saw my brother making a complaint on the clipboard about her, the dentist came out and told my mom that we had to leave and wed have to reschedule something wev already waited so long to do, the service here is ridiculous i cant believe we got treated like this.

The receptionist treat you like you are stupid and have no clue what youre talking about do not pass on messages and dont know how to look up your appointment. Good luck getting your medication in a timely fashion it takes at least 4 phone calls to make sure that they send the medication to the correct Pharmacy. And Ive been without my pain meds overnight. I wish I never started going here they cost me more stress and grief than help. Reading the posts here and reading previous employees post why is this place still in business? When I go in there theres only one or two people waiting they act like they see a hundred people a day. Ive spoken to a lot of nurses assistants that have a very sharp tone and R rude me. If I find somewhere else to go I will look up and go immediately.

My 3 year old daughters doctor is here and we also come here for their urgent care and I have never had any issue with the staff here. The nurses and doctors are always very informative and great with kids. Today I went to get some paper work signed by my daughters doctor so she could attend pre school and the receptionist told me that I couldnt get them signed. I had called 2 days prior to set up an appointment to get this done and they told me to just come in. Today she tried telling me I needed an appointment and it takes 48 hours...I told her that I had tried to set one up and was told to just come in. I would understand her not wanting to walk back to get the paper signed if they were busy but we were the ONLY ones there. After several mins of explaining to her I just need a signature saying my daughter has had her shots and has no health condition she finally went to the back and came back with the paper signed...It was then obvious that she flat out just didnt wanna get off her chair and step away from playing candy crush. Another thing that bothered me was she told me I had to schedule my daughters 3 year old check up...which was already scheduled. I told her we already had an appointment and she was very snobby with her reply saying that I was wrong. Once she noticed that I did in fact actually already have my appointment she did not apologize for being rude and wrong. I hope I never come across this receptionist again. She seems very lazy and maybe not very knowledgeable of how to do her job correctly with out being rude to people.

So in march I went for a doctors appointment who then referred me to Jordan Valley for follow up. Call them and had to battle with them for a month in a half almost 2 months to get an appointment with Jordan Valley! And to top that off the doctor was rude and talked to me like i was stupid during my visit!!! Then go and had to wait for almost a month to get my test results!!! I have to say the worst thing ever and it wasnt a thing that could just blow off this was for an extremely important matter!! Then now have to wait another week to get an additional appointment!!! So very frustrating!!! They are the worst!!! Wouldnt go there if didnt have to!!!

Its been awhile since I have been here, but recently I received something in the mail that reminded me just how awful this place is.  I received a bill from them over 3 years after going there. Thats right 3 years.  When I called about it they said they had sent me others ones, obviously they did not otherwise Im sure a collections agent would have called me.   They told me they would get back to me with a solution but never did, I tried calling them for over two months and only ever got voice mailboxes.  Then today I receive a letter from a collection agency.  They obviously dont have their act together. If you look at reviews from other venues, you will see very similar dissatisfaction with this place. Avoid it!
