List of Joe Wharton's Reviews
I think Dr. Wharton is a good doctor, but getting in to see him takes all day, even with an appointment. We had an appointment for 2:30, got to the ‘holding area’ an hour and 1/2 later, waited there for 30 minutes, waited in his exam room for 30 minutes. Finally left at 5.30.
Dr. Joe Hank Wharton has been my primary physician for 31 Years. He saved me from the jaws of death several times. I believe he extended my ,mother's life by years with his knowledge of medicine. He treated my daughter for a serious illness. She was able to birth a beautiful baby (my grandchild). Dr. Wharton is my doctor.
Dr. Wharton is often rushing though my appointments, taking calls during my office time with him, and is freqently interrupted. I have never waited less than an hour and a half to see him and it is not unusual to wait 2 to 3 hours and his waiting room is usuall full of patients complaining of the same thing. He seems to be distracted frequently. His billing staff is courteous but his front office staff can be brusque and rude at times and sometimes disorganized. His nursing staff can be rather rude at times depending on who rooms you. Overall, Dr. Wharton seems to be all over the place...sometimes great, sometimes not so great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
