His diagnosis skills are awful. He doesnt take mental health seriously. He thinks depression is a joke. His attitude is on the side of i know more than you so dont bother suggesting anything Not sure why he is so high rated here, depression is not joke. Goodbye
We have been seeing Dr. Sonderer for 30 years..he takes the time to listen and does not have that superior attitude like a lot of Drs have..I always feel comfortable around him and he tells it like it is..I think he is one of the best.
I have seen Dr. S on his good days and on his bad days...big difference. Sometimes he can be flippant, but if taken in a friendly spirit i see where it is harmless and will lighten up the visit, not everything in a Dr visit is life or death. I can see why a much to serious person might be offended or shocked at his informal manner & attitude. As for his interest in my problems I give him a high mark. I like that he refers to a specialist without hesitation.
He always watches over me & has med asst contact me for labs, concerns, questions & answers for me.
He does not know how to diagnose. You cant suggest anything to him. Very arrogant. After seeing him twice for the same problem, finally got diagnosed at the E.R. If you call for an appt., you can usually get in the same day or next day. Not very busy for a doctor.
Bedside manner is very lacking.
Hes very thorough, very attentive to needs & questions, very tunedin to you. Very courteous, knowledgeable, good eye contact, acts immediately to concerns. He is new to me & I feel very comfortable with him as my new doc. I am female, mid 40s with several health issues. I am SO glad I gave him a try. I had my last dr for 15 yrs & hope to have him as long or longer. I think he will keep me in good shape.
