List of Heartplace North Arlington's Reviews
Dr's are rude and they say they open at 8:30 they open when they feel like it
Dr. Sharma at the North Arlington location is a phenomenal cardiologist with an excellent bedside manner. He explains complex issues in a way that the average person can easily understand. I have two auto-immune diseases that come with a host of ailments necessitating coordinated care of multiple specialties, the latest of which, is cardiology. I am very fortunate to have lucked out on having randomly chosen such a skilled and experienced cardiologist as Dr. Sharma. I did my research on The HeartPlace and figured any cardiologist would suffice but I do feel as though I hit the jackpot in being placed within Dr. Sharma’s care. He takes his time to listen and then explain, and most importantly, he always inquires if I have any further questions. That’s rare in a doctor as most just tell you the facts and move on without regard to whether you understand or have additional questions. The support staff is also friendly and exceptionally helpful. I have nothing but positive feedback for this my doctor, and his support staff. I highly recommend this clinic, and especially Dr. Sharma.
Slow
Dear North Arlington HeartPlace, Arlington, Texas.3/18/21 Update:5+ StarsHeartPlace contacted me within a few days about my previous unsatisfactory experience. The administrator apologized and took complete responsibility. I felt she heard me and respected me. Well done.In addition, she was curious about what happened and I was able to provide some details that allowed her to follow up with a vendor who let her down during the weather crisis. She wanted to insure the problem was addressed and the system modified to avoid future problems.I give high praise to HeartPlace for its response. Well done.A VERY satisfied customer,Richard B.(My follow up review has been delayed because in the meantime my medical situation kept me busy. Under Dr. Wray’s great supervision, a heart Catheterization by Dr. Lander, EP Study & device implant by Dr. Delaughter, I’m feeling much better now. Kudos to North Arlington HeartPlace and the care givers at Texas Help Heart & Vascular in Arlington.)Initial Review 2/19/21Your inclement weather procedure failed. My appointment on February 19, 2021 was made 4 months ago to follow up. I received a reminder two days before the appointment confirming the date and time.On the morning of the appointment I checked the website which indicated the office was open at 8:30. I called the office number. It indicated I should call 911 with an emergency but call back later with non-emergency questions since there were many calls. The impression was given that you were open and busy with patients. Neither the phone message, updates nor website gave any guidance other than the office was open.I drove 45 minutes in hazardous driving conditions to my appointment. The lights were off (although there was power throughout the other offices in the building) and the door was locked. There was not a note of explanation on the door. This failure to communicate by issuing false and misleading information is unacceptable.During this same week long period of inclement weather, I had two appointments canceled for my appointment with Dr. Wood at Kos/Danchak Audiology. In both cases, I received accurate and timely updates via website, public updates, texts and phone calls. It is possible to keep your patients informed. Well done, Kos/Danchak!Given that your cardiac practice filters for vulnerable people, you have a higher obligation to keep them informed and safe.I have no doubt that had I merely failed to arrive for my appointment and failed to inform you 24 hours ahead of its time, you would have charged me for failure to notify you. I expect the same courtesy.I am not unaware of this unprecedented week. But your customer service is unacceptable. Yours is a systemic failure and cannot merely be blamed on the weather no matter how novel it has been. Appropriate leadership anticipates and plans. Your failure of leadership is a very bad performance of what for two decades has been outstanding service and care. This is not like you.If you need some suggestions to improve your administrative system let me know. I’m sure we could work something out. Please do better. I depend on you and want to continue to do so.A usually satisfied customer and patient, but not this time,Richard B.
I had high hopes for this place but after a year and a half dealing with them, I'm just not impressed with the staff or physicians. The icing on the cake was being sent to collections for $60 during a pandemic. I only received 1 invoice and promptly sent to collections without any other reminders. The bill was taken care of but no thanks. I will take my business elsewhere.
For years I was a patient of Drs. Nesbit and Kruger at this location, and it was a very professional practice with positive assistants. However, when these doctors moved, and another one of my doctors needed to get in touch with Dr. Kruger and called your office, the receptionist simply said, " Dr. Kruger is no longer at this office." and then hung up.That was all! The differences between you and Drs. Nesbit and Kruger are understandable; however that is no excuse for rudeness. This kind of treatment gives the opinion that if a patient/doctor is no longer associated with the practice, they are no longer important. Very disappointing and unprofessional practice.
Previously, my experiences with Dr. Teng were disappointing. He tends to be knowledgeable and precise, but brusque and easily annoyed by questions. So for this visit, I told my wife that if it was the same, we would find a new cardiologist and clinic. So I entered with low expectations and with the feeling that this would be my last visit. However, Dr. Teng was pleasant, cordial, and took time to explain everything to my satisfaction. I was very pleased. He has made a distinct effort to improve his rapport with his clientele. I made the next set of appointments with pleasure.
My review is regarding Dr Teng. The office itself is a pleasant place, and I have had no bad staff interactions. All of my visits over the last 4.5 years have shown me that Dr Teng is dismissive and uncaring. Not just in his manner, but in his treatment. Don't dare ask a question! Don't dare say how you feel (emotionally). Don't dare have a heart attack after you've seen him, even after doing everything he said. I'm an otherwise healthy, active, slim 55 year old with no underlying health conditions other than a keen mind and a desire to continue to be healthy and educated about my condition. I guess Dr Teng just likes patients who nod their heads and have no questions. I am finding another cardiologist. I'm sure he will not miss me.
Not great. Rushed through like a cattle call. Didn't feel like I even got time with the doctor to discuss my issues.
Excellent care

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
