Anjali Iyengar's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Iyengar is the best. She is kind and caring and so confident in what she does. Seeing her weekly before Chemotherapy puts me at ease. She is very upfront and honest, but so reassuring at the same time. She is always willing to take the extra time to explain things to me when I have questions. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of an oncologist. Her entire office and staff are also amazing. Everyone is willing to help and go above and beyond to make thing easier on you. I love them all, doctor, nurses, billing staff, medical assistants and everyone in between.

My mother was treated by Dr. Iyengar for stage 3 colorectal cancer. She was prescribed chemoradiation- 5FU with mitomycin. She followed NCCN guidelines, however, follow up care after knowing my mom was going to ER for severe dehydration was absent. Then she went on vacation after administering this strong drug to a new patient. Why didn't she wait and start my mom's treatment after she returned? My mom started chemo on 6/9/2014 and died on 7/2/2014 - overdose of 5FU- it was toxic to my mom as it is to 1,300 in the US every year. ER didn't know signs to look for in my mom. This was a preventable death. I hope Dr. Iyengar is reading up on all the studies happening that are pointing to DPD deficiency in patients that makes 5 FU the wrong choice or a choice where the dosing needs to be lowered and patient watched more closely.

Run! Do not walk away from Dr Iyengar. She has a TERRIBLE bedside manner. She ignores patient concerns, even when they are absolutely warranted. I have a new oncologist that is 10x the oncologist she is. I think tht she is in the wrong profession.

They dont follow up, send referrals to different places, never gave me the script, so I could get the stuff myself. They never gave me follow up appt when I asked for one. They told me to call back in 6 mo to make appt. lost ct results and said they never got them on day of my appt. I have never seen such a screwed up office. long wait, I waited an hour past my appt time to see the doctor.

I have been a patient since 2014 I am always sen on a timely basis. My questions and concerns are always addressed professionally & promptly

Dr. Iyengar is truly a wonderful physician. I see her on a routine basis & would not go to any other oncologist/hematologist. She is very informative, knowledgeable, & explains things in a way that is easily understood. Dr. Iyengar is a fantastic doctor who I highly recommend!

just had my visit with doc. i have been seeing her for six years i love her attitude and her compassion. i was scared when i first went to see her. i had stage 2 breast cancer and she was the one who seen me for my chemo. my first visit with her was funny she caressed my long hair and said sorry that is going to fall out i was shocked at first but she was honest she always told me what to expect. i got alot of side effects from the chemo and she would just address each thing. i think she is very caring and i would highly recommend her.

Dr. Inyengar makes it hard to give up. She has truly been a blessing for me over the past 3 years

I have been a patient of Dr. Iyengar's since 2014, and have had the upmost respect for her from the very beginning. She is on top of things, and goes the distance to make sure you are totally taken care of. She spends time with you in your office visit, and covers everything that you need to know. I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer (estrogen induced) and she made the decision, since I didn't have any cancer in the lymph nodes, that I should have a radiation procedure that fits a balloon into your incision and the radiation goes inside the breast instead of outside which saves your skin from being affected. It is called Brachytherapy. It was easy, no side affects, and worked for me. She also decided not to give me chemo, since my numbers were on the edge of yes or no for chemo. She decided that at my age it probably would do more harm than good, so she put me on medication which I have been taking since my surgery. She makes sure I have an up to date mammogram twice a year, and you feel when you are at your appt. with her, that you are the ONLY patient she has. Love this doctor for her dedication, her attention, and her regard to making sure that each and every one of her patients feel the same way as I do.

This dr was amazing when my dad had insurance. Very caring. When his insurance was dropped and we were in the process of getting a new insurance we were guaranteed nothing would change as long as we could pay 500.00 for each visit which we did!!! 2 appts later we go in for his visit and the DR herself walks in and says “you are taking money from my kids bank account” I was shocked. My dad who is in stage 4 stomach cancer which has spread all over. Feeling ill of course because at first she sugggested he do the chemo therapy is sitting there speechless. I am fighting back my tears because I get it if you have no insurance no service but they knew we were getting another insurance and they guaranteed 500.00 was ok to pay at every visit until the insurance was approved. She states she doesn’t think the chemo is going to work now and walks out the door. We are checking out and even the office mgr is apologizing for her behavior and states she had no idea why she did that. I asked the office mgr what changed I thought the payments were fine. She had no answer. My dad was humiliated I was furious. I thought this dr was great at first but she showed her true colors. I would never refer this dr to anyone. My dad passed away mths later and I believe she knew this chemo would not help him and instead of him enjoying what was left of his life he spent it being very ill from chemo.
