Deepak Nayyar Md's Online Review Report Card

If you like to be talked to like a misbehaving child this might be your guy! The staff is good, competent. Sun Life runs a large program and that can be good - but they have really annoying policy that can create extra office visits. Nayyar is kind of mediocre in my opinion and you can definitely get better care from someone else. I know I did!

We have never been talked down to before in such a manner, rude. Would not let us talk, told us to forget everything we were told by other doctors. Asked us if the doctors we were seeing were real doctors! He needs to remember he lives in the United States, you don’t talk to people that way, you’re fired.

He was professional and blunt. And I really needed that this visit. And unlike my last PCP he took care of all my needs in one visit instead of 4 or 5, spoke to me as if I had a brain and understood , and didn't speak arrogantly. Thanks!

Very dispassionate, rude and uncaring! Being a nurse for 25+ years I have worked with many with no bedside manner but this is rediculous! I am so glad I'm going to see a specialist and hopefully will never see him again! I respect his policy of no medications that are narcotics, but he has ALL my records from Nebraska and the meds I needed that are to keep my pain controlled. Good riddens! Will not recommend him.

I had to change primary care physicians due to change in insurance. This doctor would be removed from being a physician. Put down another doctors advise I had seen prior, was so rude during my visit only talked about losing weight which I did not come to him for and could generally care less about what I came for. Will not go back.

Great place

During my initial visit I found Dr. Nayyar to be dismissive and condescending. He expressed very little interest in my desire to understand my medical condition, and my questions about a new medication he was prescribing appeared to annoy him. As someone who feels it important to understand what's going on with my health, I find his reluctance to have a discussion unsatisfactory and consequently I have little confidence in his diagnosis and treatment plan. I will be seeking a different physician.

I came in to get my stitches out of my knee. I was very impressed with him. I could tell that he is very passionate with his job. I highly recommend him. I'll be back.

I usually have a positive experience with Dr. Nayyar but sometimes it's hard to get him to understand my issues. I would much prefer a doctor with English as his first language. It would be so much easier to communicate my problems. But since he is the doctor I was assigned and I am not strongly unhappy with him I will remain his patient for now. I must say, though, I haven't experienced any rudeness on his part in the year and a half I have been going to him.

I agree with those who call him rude. He let me know the specialists I've been to are wrong and pharmacists are wrong. He was very upset with my weight which he misread adding 100 pounds to my actual. His communication style is common in his nationality so I don't take it personally.
