List of Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital's Reviews
The check in girl at the Surprise location doesn’t alert medical staff to high risk cardiac patients who were referred to the ER from a urgent care for further evaluation of an abnormal EKG with the patient experiencing heart palpitations, tachycardia, high blood pressure, headache, lightheadedness, nausea and Covid symptoms with known Covid exposure. Very disappointed in this ER and if it wasn’t for my cardiologist practicing at Arrowhead I never would’ve wasted my time waiting an hour and a half plus as I still haven’t been called back. I’ve been to better urgent cares…this is definitely a step below them not above. My advice..don’t come here if you have a possible life threatening illness. I give them a negative 5 stars.
Just spent 3 hours sitting in the waiting room. Finally go back for my grandmothers blood work and find at least 4 bed bugs crawling on the floor…. Found at the abrazo on 19th ave and Bethany home road. Do not recommend going there of you do not what bugs!!!
I have to tell everyone that the doctor (forgot his name) and the nurse(forget her name as well) were great I went in with extreme pain and a dislocated shoulder, walked out very quickly all fixed up and they just kept me in a great mood. I highly recommend going here if you need to go to a doctor. I hope you don't need one, but if you do this is the place to go.
I'm pleased with how they took care of my Cindy. Jason, Richard, Cindy, the Doctor (don't remember her name), xray, ultra sound tech, a lot of people to care for one person, all sincerely interested in her care. Example, Cindy on a recent occasion hurt her knee and needed an ultra sound, we drove the distance to a hospital (not this one) for the ultra sound and instead they gave her an xray she didn't need, a waste of 4h 40M (40 minutes just for the paper work). This hospital, tried harder than I've seen others, explained what they had not found and where they where going next each step rather than just expecting us to know. We got there around 9pm and left nearly 4am, and never felt ignored or forgotten (which has happened plenty at Thompson peak parkway!). Even though we still do not know what is wrong, I'm fully confident of what was done and do not feel my time was wasted (which is a big deal to me). couple of examples: The ultra sound person probably took 100 pictures, she couldn't explain anything but she knew what she was looking at and was being thorough. The ultra sound & xray rolled into the room rather than Cindy suffering travel to them. I HATE hospitals, and I'm sure everyone knew that when I came in, so posting this means I was impressed enough to take my time, as much as I really dislike hospitals to say how good this one was (the people, not the box, the people who serve are).
My friend crashed his motorcycle while going down carefree. His bike slid roughly 100 yards and he rolled approximately 40 feet. He was brought to this hospital. The security guard with a Boston accent went on an extreme power trip and was implying that my friends and I were guilty of foul play. He was rude right off the bat for no reason, saying we “got up in his grill” even though we were all calm and maintaining a safe 3 foot distance, as per health and safety protocol. When asked if our friend was ok he lost his cool and yelled at us. He said things like “no he’s not ok… he’s unconscious… he’s being transported…” causing my friends and I to go into a panic. He went inside, and the sheriff came out to talk. The sheriff was really cool, and he told us that our friend was ok and would be released that night. That security guard has no business acting the way he did. He had a Boston accent.
We are so impressed with the way this facility on Thomas and freeway 51 they treated our father throughout his stay at . Each and every one of of the staff membered cared for him with the up most respectful and compassion. There are no words to express our gratitude. The facility was clean and was maintained clean. The staff was pleasant to communicate with and always kept us in the loop of any changes and provided the full picture of options and was willing to take the extra time to educate us. I would highly recommend this facility all the doctors brought their A game and succeeded. We spent most of our time with the ICU team and they were over the top, definitely A team here. We were treated amazing and the entire team worked together to resolve any medical issues that was presented to them.
From the receptionist to the nurses and doctor, they were all efficient. Thank you for taking care of my husband this morning. Standard protocols were performed and post-care were explained verbally and formally written. Stay safe!
Amy and Cassidy were amazing nurses!!. They were so attentive and helpful during a very difficult situation for us.
Very disappointed with the care. I don’t know what to say to make a strong impact. AGAIN! Bad, bad ,bad again. I will say the staff is nice, The treatment is not good. Save yourself and family go to a real hospital. This is the one and only bad review ever! I believe in the power of reviews. This is for the Abrazo Surprise at Reems and Bell. Take a look at reviews and go at your own risk.
My elderly mother has been treated with amazing care and compassion. All of the staff has been incredibly patient with her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
