BELOW ZERO. Not caring or kind with my cat. Did $150 worth of tests because she had a fur mat on her butt. When I complained they blamed her. Said she was fat and matted. AND did not remove the matting. Final bill was over $300. This is the worst vet Ive ever gone to. Went to Copper Mountain vet and they were fantastic. Removed the matting and did not charge me. Treated my cat gently and gave her treats.
If there was an option for zero stars, that would be my review. I woke up one morning and my pet was off, throwing up, and acting weak. I was an established patient at this clinic, so I was there at opening and asked if my pet could be seen. They said they could work me in within an hour or I can drop him off and he can be seen by the vet in between other patients. Mind you -- they're still doing curbside because of Covid. I was worried about my pet and said OK I'll leave him there. They had me sign a paper that gave me a price range of $375-$575 for hospitalization- Even though the veterinarian had not seen him yet. So drop off equals hospitalization to them. They had my pet for three hours and the only phone call I got was to ask if they could do labs in house for $165. At this point, no one informed me of where my charges were at, and out of concern for my pet -- of course I said yes. I called to get an update and they said they wanted to keep him all day for monitoring. I reiterated that if it was basic things like watching him, seeing if he goes to the bathroom, I can do that (I'm a nurse). They said that it would be better for him to stay there and get IV fluids. The vet called me at 2 PM to give me updates and just said that she thinks that he ate some thing foreign and that he's just dehydrated, obviously due to vomiting. I went to pick him up at 4:45pm and they brought out a bill of $835. They charged me for hospitalization and tech monitoring which makes sense, but then charged an additional $70 because my pet was "sick " and for nausea medication that the tech told me she had not given. I expected to pay a decent amount for my pet to get better, but never thought it would be that much. I never saw the veterinarian. I only talked to a tech at the end. No one called me to check on my pet the following day. I received an email asking if I would recommend them to others, I said NO. I gave them feedback, and then today I received a phone call from an office manager claiming she wanted to clarify what my feedback meant, but then proceeded to argue with me over how sick my pet was and the fees, saying that they documented that they talked to me multiple times. It ended up I had to say "did you call just to argue or just to prove that you were right?? why are you calling me?" Thankfully my pet is much better now, but the lack of transparent communication and then the follow up call with arguments and justifying their fees - knowing that I was not happy and with no apology for how I felt is why I would say do not take your pet here.
I am visiting from out of state and my 10 Year old lab max was in pain. I didn’t know why and called Sun Lakes. They were able to work Max into there busy saturday morning practice. The staff and Dr Greenway were professional and kept me updated on what was happening with Max. He has bad arthritis and Dr Greenway suggested increase in medications and laser therapy. They did not do unnecessary X-rays or charge for every pill. To be visiting a place with a sick pet is hard. To find a vet that you have confidence in without any referral except the excellent reviews, that is even harder. AND they were 5 minutes away. Very lucky day for Max and me. Thank you for getting us in.
Every experience I’ve had in the last 8 months has been absolutely horrible. With not being allowed inside due to COVID (which I have no issue being present for my child’s pediatrician but somehow my dog isn’t worth my attendance?), they are telling me my dog needs to go on drugs to get his nails clipped & anal glands squeezed. I find it ironic that they have NO issue taking his blood and continuing to take my money in that regard when they have NOT been dealing with his Valley Fever in a caring, appropriate manner (I ask a million questions because I care about my dog, and they never have the patience to actually communicate to me why they do things. Just “it’s what they do”). All around, I can’t believe the reviews I get about how “caring” this vet is, just seems to me like another vet looking to take the most money they can with the least amount of care. Would not recommend at all.
they took care of my little hooter my kitty. her ears was bad. they fixed her and great prices. and the staff is so nice and tells you everything you need to know
The staff is extremely caring. Dr. Greenway and Dr. Garner have taken the time to answer all my questions either by calling or responding to my emails. The clinic has changed for the better since Dr. Greenway took over.
caring and knowledgeable staff.
Curbside service was so easy, and everyone took great care of Molly! ❤️
This clinic has the best staff and the care is exceptional. 10 out of 10!
They were great, they expertly treated and diagnosed my cat Odyssey. Dr. Garner and technician Bethanee were wonderful!
My dogs are my family. It is important to find a place that sees them like that too. I was delighted to see my little guys name on the chalk board in the room and have both of mine treated with love. They talked through all of my concerns with clarity and care. You never want your fur kids to be ill but I am so glad I found a place that can help if they do.
Their caring attitude for your pets.
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Garner. My cat, Jackson, was very ill for over a year. He was vomiting every day, losing weight and fading before my eyes. We saw all three Vets at SLAC, as well as two specialists. We did ultrasounds, blood tests, etc., trying to get to the bottom of what was going on. Dr Garner did not give up. She called me constantly to check on him, offer suggestions, and switch things up if we needed to. It’s now been 2 months with no vomit and Jackson is acting like himself again. He is purring, talking, and running around. There are no words for how happy and grateful I am that we found her and this clinic.
Took my baby there today and the service was excellent and the price was reasonable! Thank you for taking great care of my baby!
All the vets are extra friendly and compassionate about my kitties. This is Ava.
This Clinic came highly recommended to me for good reason. They are really thorough here and really care about your pets.
