List of Jeffrey Paul Edelstein Ltd's Reviews
He made things WORSE, and he got extremely defensive when I said I wasn't happy with the results. Look at peoples' reviews with photos on Google reviews, then go to somebody else! I wanted my upper eyelid crease to not touch my lashes, which I could do by just raising my eyebrows a bit. He was supposed to do upper blepharoplasty with a browpexy, and he just decided to not do the browpexy (or he forgot, I don't know, there was no discussion beforehand about him possibly not doing it, and after the only explanation was that he'd decided I didn't need it). Now I have droopy eyes and nasty scars, and I don't have the money to go to somebody else to get it fixed. Worst mistake of my life!!
NOTE: My BEFORE/AFTER pictures are not mislabeled! If you get them mixed up, you'll probably think he did an okay job, but he made things WORSE. I wish Marcelle's review had been posted a few days sooner; it would have made me cancel my surgery. But sadly, here I am in the same situation, hoping maybe my review can save the next person. I got upper blepharoplasty, and now my eyelids are droopy, I'm extremely self-conscious, and I have nasty scars. Also, my right eyelid feels uncomfortable, and at 4 months I'm losing hope that it will ever feel normal again. Also, I was supposed to have a browpexy that he just didn't do. There was no conversation beforehand about him possibly deciding not to do that. And he told me that my reference photo that I'd used in our discussions before the surgery was unrealistic expectations of looking like that person (this was an un-edited, no make-up photo OF ME, taken the morning before our first appointment, merely raising my eyebrows to show the space I wanted between my eyelashes and my crease). Again, he hadn't said anything beforehand about my desired goals being unrealistic. When I voiced my concerns about things not looking right, he got immediately and extremely defensive. He basically said I was very ugly before and was lucky to have turned out as well as I did. He did not actually call me "ugly" but he did say "very asymmetrical" and then constantly referred to the "large side of my face" when looking at photos (this was opposite sides on his photos and mine, since he didn't realize I'd taken mine myself with a cellphone and they were mirrored). My mother went to the follow-up appointment with me, and she asked one question and he accused her of "micro-managing" my surgery. She told me in the car after we left that she had more questions but felt like she'd been told to shut up. She also noticed that when he removed my stitches, either his hand was trembling or what he was resting his arm on was). Jeffery Edelstein was recommended to me by my optometrist whom I trust, so I believe he likely USED TO BE a good doctor. But now I think he's simply gotten old and needs to retire and won't admit it. (I don't know precisely how old he is, but he graduated in the 70s, and from his looks I'd guess around 75). Look at my photos and decide for yourself if you want to risk it, and I hope this is helpful because I'm extremely embarrassed to be putting them online.
Wish I would have read the reviews. It’s been disheartening to have a surgery that made my eye WORSE than before. Now my eye droops and I am so self conscious. I hate the way I look in photos. And I have to use eye gel at night because my eye doesn’t stay shut and dries out which causes pain. Here is a before and after. These photos are 2 years apart. I had upper and lower AND my eyes are not longer symmetrical. I do however want to say that the staff was very polite and the process was simple,
Dr. Edelstein is one of the finest doctors I have had the privlege to receive care from. His demeanor is kind. He is very intelligent and a very capable surgeon. Most importantly, he has gifted and skilled hands. He fixed the problems I had been suffering from for a couple years. Eyelashes gone hay wire. He "made it go away"! His staff, Brandy, is a gem. A true delight at the front desk... and very capable. Thank you Dr. Edelstein & Brandy...
Excellent plastic on upper eye lid following mohs for basal cell. "Quarterbacked" entire process and ask went as scheduled.
HE WORSHIPS MONEY TO A DISGUSTING LEVEL
From the moment you walk through the front door of Dr. Edelstein's office you become aware that you're put at ease instantly. Brandi greets you immediately and the sound of the faux water fall on the wall is amazing! Yes, the normal paperwork is necessary but somehow Brandi makes it feel easy to complete! When test are ordered Dr Edelstein personally ask Brandi to set it up and in addition to any follow up treatments and option. Dr Edelstein in brilliant and methodical in his examination of his patients. You are not a number to him and he addresses all questions without feeling like you're playing beat the clock like at most medical practices nowadays.
This man is the worst plastic surgeon on the face of the earth!! He's so unprofessional he's all talk with no results, he performed surgery on my mom's under and upper eyelids, her main concern was her under eyes that look puffy, she went through the whole surgery the whole recovery, she saved money and this is something she has been wanting to do since she was in her 40s and she finally decided to do this for herself!! By six weeks we noticed shes looking exactly the same as she did before surgery (!) so disappointed we made an appointment to talk to him about it . We were certain that he would be unsatisfied himself and he would want to fix it too because this is his reputation and his name and something is very wrong, as it doesn't make sense no matter what for someone to do plastic aesthetic surgery and look the same right?! So instead he acted as if he doesn't understand what we're talking about he said my mom didn't communicate properly and it's our fault My mother felt humiliated and so disrespected and just a note to Dr. Edelstain when you are the surgeon it's your job to understand what your client wants and I'm pretty sure that when anybody comes in for plastic surgery their goal is not to come out looking the same. He is such a disappointment and my mother that finally decided to do something nice for herself is absolutely crushed that now he wants to charge her money to fix his horrible mistake How can we trust him again?? Nobody should!!

Went in for a consultation and ended up with a $200+ bill in the mail a few months later. A big chunk of that was from him taking 2 or 3 pictures of my eyes on his digital camera, which took seconds. Another big charge for a 'visual eye test', which was him waving a stick around in front of a black sheet inside a closet, and stopping when he wanted me to say I couldn't see. Sketchy much?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
